Got 3 sandwiches, Italian, crude and bufala. All were good but lacking. Not enough meat or greens/peppers/veggies hence 3 stars.

Fantastic sandwiches! Authentic italian sandwiches with great ingredients. Love the homemade bread. The bomba was a great dessert too

There was no one in the store when we came in, and the selection is tiny!

The crudo sandwich feels like something you’d grab for lunch at a deli in Rome. Prosciutto, good mozzarella, little bit of olive oil. It’s expensive but it’s so delicious and nostalgic it’s worth it.

I have no idea how this deli has only a handful of reviews, but it is easily the top sandwich / deli in dc that I have come across. Everything was fresh and perfect. Try it

The fresh baked bread really punctuates the experience. Got both the Crudo and the Italian and am very happy with both. It’s a pretty authentic Italian deli, and I wish I lived closer!

They do not make a bad sandwich. The porchetta and crudo are especially good.

This is my favorite lunch place in DC. The food is outstanding, the staff are friendly, and the restaurant itself provides the feeling that you're enjoying a local sandwich shop. This is the best sandwich bread you can get in DC, and it's not even close. You can taste the freshness in every bite and the addition of being able to buy the meats and fresh baked rolls separately gives Salumeria a local, small-European town quality that can't be matched at other places. For this price point and this level of sandwich creation, you won't find anything better in DC. Try the Crudo, it's a classic, simple sandwich that provides rich flavors in every bite with fresh mozzarella and prosciutto that melts in your mouth.

A colleague recommended Salumeria when I inquired if he had local sandwich shop recs. I knew he, an apt foodie, would know where to go. … I purchased my first sandwich today, and honestly don’t want the world to know so I can keep it to myself. But the tiny establishment deserves the word to be spread. Squeezed between a pizzeria and a
coffee shop on N Street NE, the gentleman made and sold me a sandwich better than any I have had in the DC Metropolitan area.
I’ve lived here and have been searching for this sammich for over 40 years. OMG. Salumeria, please don’t discount your quality or price me out! ❤️

Listen, I ate a sandwich from here about three hours ago and I’m already back to reading the menu to figure out what I want next time. It’s spectacular.

Glad they were able to add on a market similar to the 12th Street location. A little larger and spacious. Nice selection of bottled Italian beers not found elsewhere in the area.
