Staff can be rude and food is mediocre. Pretty much all there is to it. There are plenty of other places to grab coffee and lunch in this area without having to come here.

I forgot my lunch and had been hearing a lot about Phillips, so decided to take the walk. The line was actually less long than expected and told so I was excited about that and the food looks very fresh. I decided to get a turkey club added, bacon and dressed up how I wanted to with a side of kettle chips and a brookie. To my surprise, this was totaled to about $20. The price is outrageous, I probably won't be returning, unless I am treated or forget my lunch again and reach starvation however, it was a pretty good sandwich. I will give them that. The brookie was OK as well. - I'm glad I had my bottled water at my desk lol

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat before visiting the African American History museum. The place was clean, the people were nice, courteous and helpful. We ordered 2 turkey sandwiches on a croissant and the amount of meat was sufficient and they had the cranberry ginger ale that we love this time of year.

I’ve been here a few times for breakfast. The food quality is okay, but the customer service is lacking. They don’t pay attention and when they mess up your order, they look at you like you’re stupid. On multiple occasions I felt disrespected and will not be returning.
Cheap lunch place but rude. Close at 3, at 2:35 I ordered a hot chicken sandwich and they told me the grill was off. I let it go because I enjoy them. People behind me order burritos and I watched chicken get put on the grill. Disappointing.

I went during a very busy lunch time (12:30) for my first time, they had 3 lines going all the way back to the drink station! one for sandwiches one for salads and one to pay, I was in an out under 10 minutes while also not knowing what I wanted and needing help to decide. All the other guests were dressed very dapper in suits on break from work and I was in my tank top and basketball shorts, but everyone treated me with respect and a smile regardless.

In town visiting, and a security guard recommended this deli. The recommendation didn't disappoint! The line moved quickly, and my salad was AMAZING. Everything was fresh, and the salad topping options were endless.The only constructive comment is that no one spoke English preparing the food. Explaining to her what I would like on my salad took longer than usual.

I have to say that I appreciate a set small menu offering that is done right. You'll get this at SBP. With a sandwich chips and drink, expect to pay around $15. That's a good price for DC. Even during the rush it only took about 5 minutes to order and get my food. That's fast for made to order meals. All in all, I was impressed. Give them a try.
