Great food!
They went above and beyond for me. Great customer service. It was closed and the staff made sure that i got some food. Shout out to Mr haile, he made sure i was accommodated. Blessings and love to him and the family.. I will be back soon
Good food and drinks, pre-pandemic met the owner who chated with us for a sec and thanked us for coming by. Would recommend
The food is really good, and the owner is welcoming.
Very friendly staff within this inviting atmosphere. Clean restaurant. Great Eritrean food and good prices. Dine in or carry out for large gatherings and special occasions.
Excellent services and very well personally Mr. Hayle
Wonderful 80 year old owner AND chef. The food was really nicely spiced (we ordered mild). We came here on a business dinner that was unique to DC. If you are looking for good food at a great price this is your place. No white table cloths but a family owned restaurant. And yes it is cash only but our bill for 5 of us and a glass of wine was 70.00
Hygiene looked questionable. Food didn’t taste bad. Small menu. Was not given a check for how much the food cost, owner simply said $30 and we gave him cash. Overpriced for the content and quality of the restaurant.
Amazing people. They were so kind hearted to show and teach their game and culture with us. A wonderful day.

The best plater in town.
Nice and authentic place to try Eritrean - seems like a social club for the locals! A bit of a dive but the food is good, especially if you like garlic. According to the reviews the credit card machine seems perennially broken. Owner and staff are very nice. I'd recommend as a place to change it up for a cheap and interesting lunch.
This place is uncommon, the service is good but they can improve. The environmental is friendly. For this dishe you need clean your hands, because you don't use the cutlery.
This was an interesting experience and the food was good. However, the wait was around half an hour despite being the only ones in the restaurant and the price we paid did not match that on the menu.
This place is an amazing family owned bar and restaurant. It's like the "Cheers" of Eritrean food. You know it's going to be good when people who just got back home from visiting their friends and family back home in Eritrea are sitting at the bar with ya. I walked in with $20 bucks and walked out very very full, drunk, and happy. If I lived in DC I'd probably spend to much time (or not enough) there on my days off.
