I love me a Black-owned business and will support until the end of time. However, the owner at Serenata is rude. I went with my sister and boyfriend to union market for good food and drinks. I went to Las Gemelas first for their margaritas because they're 11/10. Then we went to serenata to grab food quickly. The owner said no outside food/drinks at the bar.. totally understand that. Then she proceeded to side-eye me from afar. I was staring her down because I wanted to grab a bite but she literally ignored me while making eye contact with me. I eventually gave up because I was honestly confused. My sister was able to grab her attention and asked her what food is good/her favorite. The owner's words, "I'm the owner, so everything is good." Immediately no. I personally hate when employees say everything on the menu is good because how does that help me? I'm asking so I know what I'll enjoy and will satisfy my hunger. 3/10 experience.

Rightly recognized as having some of if not the best cocktails in DC. The best margarita is truly the best marg you will have. Latin American inspired and rotating brilliance. Happy hour is awesome too, $8 a pop for the best craft cocktails in dc, that is if you have an expansive palette and can trust master mixologists to choose a cocktail for you. Good place to go alone. Because it's in a food hall a different vibe than a dark and moody cocktail bar. More casual.

Best experience. Delicious craft cocktails. AJ, Bryant, John, Theo, Johanna are all top notch hospitality professionals. The attention to detail is noted every visit. Thank you!

This bar was adorable and played such good music! If you're a fan of reggaeton this is your spot! The food portions wer small but it was tasty! The service was fast and our bartenders were hilarious.

Considering the cocktail prices you would expect better service, but it feels more like a fast food restaurant. It used to be better for sure.

Finally made it to Serenata and certainly wasn't disappointed. The cocktails are delicious, the snacks are tasty, and the bar seating and aesthetic makes you feel like the night is young and anything is possible. For snacks we ordered the chicken empanadas and the pandebonos. They were both good, but the chicken empanada was amazing. They have interesting rules that could affect your visit - you must be seated in order to sip on any alcohol. So, if you don't have a seat, you can't drink drinks with alcohol. It's probably because of the nature of the space the bar is located within.
