I took my gf here for our anniversary and they kindly gave us a complimentary dessert (yummy tiramisu) and champagne. Our server Ray was excellent, helpful, and had a great energy. The food was yummy and the ambience was lovely. We would consider returning next time we visit DC!

We're so glad Sette in DuPont Circle opened back up! It's a great neighborhood restaurant. Friendly service and good food!

Sette just added another 3% increase (clad in a "credit card fee") Raised their prices just two years ago by 17-20%, which is after tax and tip at least 21.25-25%. According to real inflation (CPI-U), this should have been good for the next 7 years. Price margins are high Bottomless mimosas: The Wycliff prosecco for $5.99/bottle plus orange juice gives about 42 Mimosas for $20. With an average of, say 6 per customer, gain factor is 7. Barolo Damiano: $168; costs in TraderJoe's $39.99; so, after tip and tax, gain factor is 5.25. A bowl pasta cacio & pepe cannot be $24, after tip $30, or vongole $35. Also, the tipping rate is a RATE. So, if a meal was $100, then at a tipping rate of 15%, tip was $15. If inflation made this same meal $200, the same tipping rate gives $30 tip. Fully absorbing inflation. The concept of ever-increasing tipping rate is FUNDAMENTALLY FALSE. It stays constant if one assumes price increase according to inflation. As this is not the case (above), it should rather decrease. Anyway, with the present pattern of increasing prices and gain margins, a restaurant should be perfectly able to pay their waiters a reasonable salary and not have the customer do this. As is the case in any other country. Sorry to all the great waiters at Sette: Maura, Luis, Benito, Tara, Mohammed,... After alone 300 reservations in the past 10 years, I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK.

Food was great, service was poor. We had a large party and understandably that can be a lot to handle. Our waitress hardly ever checked on our table and was often just standing by the bar or the kitchen. I ordered shrimp with my pasta and only received 3 of the 5 indicated on the menu. We had extra items added to our bill that we never purchased. They "comped" me some shrimp to make up for the missing ones and forgot to take it off the bill. There was a random dessert. When we asked for bread, they asked us if we wanted "regular or garlic?" When we said garlic, there was no indication it would cost more money. It was $10 per basket. When I pointed these things out to the waitress she blamed me and my party for the errors. A disappointing experience overall from a restaurant I previously loved going to.

First time dining here, would definitely go back! Cool vibe, but very loud. Prompt service and attentive wait staff!!!

Good food but check your bill because they added a bunch of stuff to our tab that we didn't order that we had to have them remove

The food and service were very good. It was so noisy that I couldn't hear my companion on the other side of a table--perhaps two feet away--and our hearing is normal.

Overpriced mediocre food, my pizza was on par with Quiktrip pizza, it took an hour and a half to get my food, bread is $6.00, and then they put a tip onto your receipt regardless of party size and then expect you to tip on top of it

Wonderful place with great food and great staff. It is very loud, but great happy hour drinks and appetizers will definitely go back.

We were a party of five. All of us loved their dishes. But I left the table and when I got back my half full bottle of wine was gone. They were rushing us to finish. That felt pretty tacky. I'll like tho back because of the great food but if you plan on leaving the table just for 5 minutes, make sure somebody is guarding your wine glass.

The restaurant was able to handle our Gluten and Peanut Free diners as well as out vegetarians!

My experience was amazing. From the time we walked in the door everyone showed great customer service. I hosted a friendsgiving there and had a box of gifts. They put them in a safe place until I needed them. The server was on point .... we never had to look for her. The manager was great. He had such great energy and came to check on us throughout the evening. Lastly the food was great!!!! I found my new spot.

Average food. Below average service. We were rushed through dinner, no mention of daily specials till asked, servers kept adding water to the incorrect glass and mixing with other drinks. I had mentioned at time of booking it was a birthday celebration, no acknowledgment of that, nothing! It was quite disappointing. Won't go back.

We dropped in for dinner after an event at the Phillips Collection. What a lovely surprise. A classic old style DC Italian restaurant with great service, food, and a lovely atmosphere. Well done. 100% we will be back!
