Never again will I patron here. They never seal the bag to prevent tampering. Why purchase bags with the ability to sticky seal if it’s not being used for delivery order. The meal I received yesterday was pure nasty. Th bottom bum was all the way around greasy—it was disgusting. The oil soaked through the paper wrapper and onto the bottom of the box.The burger meats itself was extremely salty. Why put salt on it when it already had bacon! It was a waste of money that I would not spend again here.

We have been so impressed at how nice people are here in DC until we visited your Navy Yard location on 3/23/2022 at 6:00. Because everybody has been so friendly, the rudeness of the cashier kind of hit us in the face. Please apologize to her for whatever we (me, my wife and two kids) did to put her in a bad mood, as we have no idea why we made her work so hard. Yes, we were a bit indecisive, but I am not sure we were so different than any other customer with kids. I truly apologize if we inconvienced her on figuring out order

I didnt get to catch the young lady that took my order at the register but i did however get the name of the 5 star manager Sharan. Sharan's service was immaculate. He made sure that my entire party had everything we needed. He even entertained our kids which was very sweet. I can't thank him and the staff enough.

I honestly haven't been having a good experience at this location the last few orders. Today, the cheese for the fries was cold and looks like this in the photo. Not melted. The fries did not taste good at all. Very bland. Normally they have a hint of sat or some kind of flavor. The burger bread was well done. Idk today was not a good day for shake shack. A couple orders ago, there was a piece of a very hot pepper in my burger and in my child's burger. He coughed so badly after accidentally eating it. Then, it was in mine too. The customer service wasn't good today either. When I walked in, I had to get someone's attention just to pick up my to go order. Then, I said "thank you." No response. "Have a nice day." No response. Customer service isn't great.

Ordered at the kiosk for here, tried to find a table, most of them were dirty and there was someone (assuming homeless) sleeping at one of the tables. I grabbed a number to sit on the table since i wanted to dine in. The staff called my name, rather than bringing it to me. Not sure what the point of entering my number was. Food came pretty quick. Fries tasted freezer burnt, burger was just okay, and they didn’t add ice in my drink.Vegetarian options: Veggie burger

After ice cream at the Kilwins did not work out since it was huge ice chunks, I got as close as I could to ice cream with a cookies and cream shake around the Dr John cornder. A shake makes up half of the bidness's name, and I was not in the market for a dilapidated shanty, so it seemed like a good move since most shake shack locations are solid. There was a long line for a tablet to order at, since they had no humans who could take an order. There were a lot of people waiting for their order. I joined the large crowd of people waiting for their order. Service was very slow for a shake, it is not like they needed to go out back and kill something to make the shake, since there should have been no meat in the old gal. When my shake came out 20 minutes later it was warm. Shakes are not supposed to come out warm, unless you are in Tina Belcher's Hell-Jail. I suspect they never called up my number when it was first made despite me standing right there in front of the pick up zone. Or this store really does not know how to make shakes. A warm shake is undrinkable. I should have saved the huge ice chunks from Kilwins ice cream and then I could have combined the failures of two places into a gross abomination of flavours that was still not the correct temperature for a tasty treat right before heading into the Nats stadium. Navy Yard basically seems like a giant tourist trap (they snared me, obviously) and the low quality of even somewhat respectable chains like the shack proves it. Do better.

The welcome from the team my first time here matched all five star dining. SE gets s bad rep always but you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, one visit to this restaurant will have your mind change. Team job well done and the food is delicious.

Our first time at Shake Shack did not disappoint. We had the standard cheeseburgers, fries, and shakes and everything was tasty. Only downside was the absence of customer service- we placed our order at a computer and the server who delivered the food hardly spoke. Go for the food, not the service.

Love the food here. Very similar fare to Culver's from Midwest. They mixed up our order on several things- missed a burger and drink that we had ordered. They quickly remedied both. Otherwise, a good

Burger patties were horrible. The meat was full of cartilage or collagen fiber like textures. Couldn’t even finish my burger because of that. Cheese fries were okay. Definitely not worth the price.

I never heard this place before, so i wanted to try it. There is no meal so you have to buy everything as its own thing. You order on a screen to the left of the counter and just wait until they call your number. The employee that served my food was really nice. The burgers were good, not greasy like most burgers are, but they are also smaller than most bergers are. You're paying the same price for regular sized burgers, but its alot smaller than its worth.

The place was almost empty, but we still had to wait over 15 minutes for our order. The chicken was good, but the buns were cold. They were literally out of the fridge, not even room temperature. The glasses of our lemonade were filled with ice to the top, and there is no option on the terminal to say we want little ice. To be honest, I would never pay $5 for ice. Oh, and now they also want a tip on the top of a $40 order at a fast food place. You order through a terminal, then pick up your food yourself, and then clean up after yourself, and you are expected to pay a tip! Well, I guess I know why we got cold buns and so much ice, we changed a suggested tip to a "no tip" option. Next thing we know, we will be expected to tip cashiers at the grocery store.
