Friends suggested I check out Shakers while I was in town and I am so glad I did. Kevin was bartending and did a phenomenal job of welcoming the out of town peeps while also serving the regulars. If I lived here, this would be a regular spot. If you’re looking for a judgement free, top notch experience - stop in here.
Visiting from Denver and stopped in randomly on a Wednesday night. There was a drag competition going on, and it was awesome. Drinks were good and the vibe was great. Nice patio on the back that we chilled at after the show. If I lived here I'd come often!
5 stars across the board, my new favorite gay bar in DC. Bartenders very good at their craft, it has food (in collaboration w/ Whitlow’s), and has a great vibe. Music good but not so loud you can’t hear the people you’re with, and the options for where to be (indoor, indoor patio, outside patio) are all very nice and nice to have for varying weather. I’m impressed, and will definitely be back.PS, the staff is hot. What? I may be a lesbian but I have *eyes* :)Note: No one...
