Shakers is one of my favorite bars in DC. The space is one of the largest out of all the gay bars and can accommodate whatever vibe you are looking for. The Saturday night drag show is the best in DC. Don’t miss it!
Shakers is hands down one of the best bars in D.C. The atmosphere is always lively but never overwhelming — everyone just seems genuinely happy to be there. The staff are incredibly friendly, quick, and attentive, even on the busiest nights. Drinks are strong, well-made, and reasonably priced for how good they are. The drag shows are phenomenal — full of talent, humor, and heart — and the crowd is always supportive and fun. You can tell the place really values community...
Shakers is an amazing queer space in DC with the best staff. The drinks are delicious, the space is beautiful, and everyone is so welcoming. It is the perfect place to host or attend events, and the drag shows are always so much fun. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful spot that supports our community.
