Incredibly delicious beef ribs that were perfectly seasoned and slow cooked (fall off the bone softness). The hush puppies were delightful! And the workers suggested trying a mix of lemonade and sweet tea, which also hit. The sweet potato pies we took away to bring back to Toronto also went over really well with our families.

My favourite part of the entire experience was that the whole store was staffed by Bengalis who made me feel right at home, will definitely revisit when I'm in DC.

The guys were amazing thanks for the samples of greens and Mac and cheese also the yams not gonna lie the Mac and greens were amazing that I came back to purchase some.i ordered the southern fried chicken with Cajun rice but for people who likes there rice spicy it's not it's good though.will go back again

The block is hot; mural of a pre-teen little girl that was hit by a stray is just a few feet away from the front door. HOWEVER… I often choose these folks over the Popeyes that is across the street because they cook the food FRESH… and their menu’s offering is more robust. I can confidently order and even reheat for a day or so of meals without loosing the quality. The chicken comes out golden brown regardless of the time of day … or night; clean grease. If you are respectful and patient with the staff, you will be well rewarded.
