Love it, a great spot with character, good burgers and chicken sandwiches, and a fantastic beer list.
Bonus points for playing interesting movies and music that doesn’t rely on an algorithm!
Kid-friendliness: They have kids sliders and chicken tenders, just not seen on the main menu I think. They’re always great to our kids. And kids generally love rock music, which is what goes on here. Go before 8-ish, I think bands play after 9 or so.

Cool atmosphere & delicious food but service was nonchalant and unfocused
I’ve probably been to SR 25 times. I wrote a rave review a couple years ago but unfortunately need to revise it now. Service has never been great: pretty rude, uncaring servers, although the food, prices, atmosphere made up for it. Now they’ve cut out about half their menu items and raised prices an ungodly amount (a happy hour beer used to be $4.50, now it’s $10). After putting up with a very rude server and insane prices last time, we decided it just isn’t our place anymore, and that honestly makes me very sad.
(Checking other reviews made within the last year, it seems many have had the same experience)

I see that a lot of folks complain about the service but I did not have issues. The food and beer were good and the service courteous and fast. I'll be coming back, especially since they host karaoke nights and there are happy hour specials from 5 to 7.

The motto at Slash Run is beer, burgers and rock music and it goes together really well! The burgers are top class, the meat in the burger tastes so good that I would only like to eat burgers from Slash Run. The interior is 80s style and it feels like a time travel to this decade in the last century, well done and it is authentic. The employees were in a good mood and super fast!

HIDDEN FEES - 4% across the board and pricing on menu sometimes isn't correct either. After tax (but pre-tip), expect to pay about 15% or more than what is listed on the menu.We also saw a roach run out of the kitchen last time we were there, and the service is notoriously aloof and inattentive. Otherwise, this place is great.~~In response to the owner's comment, I was not given the opportunity to pay in cash (even though I had it) and was presented a bill with the hidden fees even before I presented a credit card. I do not believe it is listed as a credit card surcharge (in the small print on the menu) and that is more than what credit card companies charge in fees anyway. Not that CC surcharges are defensible - it's part of the cost of doing business, just raise your prices. It's telling that they will defend their hidden fees instead of addressing the situation of non-transparent pricing.
Good burgers. Dive bar experience. (That's a compliment.)

This is the first bar I've ever done this, but they had such good burgers I ate two. Great punk rock show featuring Sad Roach and Erik Nervous. Fun night.

This place seems to be a dive bar and music/performance venue that happens to sell burgers. I've been to plenty of places like this and love them as a genre, but have never been to one where the distance between burger hype and actual burger experience was this significant. The menu and reviews led me to believe that this place took its burgers seriously. The staff and the food itself seemed to just be slinging hash.I went there this past weekend, and had a completely adequate burger that would be competent for a music venue, spectacular for a regional airport, and subpar for a place that claimed to take its burgers seriously.I asked that my burger be served medium rare/rare, and the server said "it's just two thin patties, cooked on the grill." I said "oh, are these diner-style smashburgers then?"He responded "it's just two thin patties, cooked on the grill."The weird thing is that I heard at least three other patrons ask a question about the burgers and the guy responded with exactly the same answer every time: "it's just two thin patties, cooked on the grill."I would offer that if you find yourself giving the same answer five times in a few minutes, there is something inadequate about your description. The guy was otherwise friendly, just oddly inarticulate about the main menu item. The patties weren't smashed flat and crispy, no real effort to maximize the flavor, just kinda medium thickness beef pucks cooked to well done. Nothing spectacular, elevated or even above average about the experience. They were truly, just two thin patties cooked on a grill. This is totally fine if you're watching a band at a bar and want to get a burger to take a break from drinking whiskey. But it's a fairly low-effort stab at a burger at a time when burgers are kinda having a moment, if they're trying to run a credibly competitive burger joint.Hamburger America, Shake Shack, even Five Guys are offering something at scale that's got some flavor to it.I was in there for lunch, so I didn't see bands or the comedy shows. But the kitchen closes an hour after the 9PM shows start, so there's really only an hour where you can enjoy a competent burger while rocking out.
Vegetarian options: They appeared to have vegan items on the menu.
