Thursday night karaoke is a decent vibe. Brings in a diverse group of individuals that sing - or try to sing in some cases. I'm giving a 4 star because even a simple vodka/cranberry is overpriced. Bartender was chill, but not overly friendly. I'd probably visit again to give karaoke another shot, but otherwise, there are better bar selections in the area.
Do you suck? No. Good. Then carry on at Sollys. Best bartenders in DC, good old Rugger bar and great people. Are you looking for Taylor swift? (FO) and go to any corner bar on 9th and Ust NW.
Niel the bartender made it clear that my safety mattered more to him than profit - a rarity in DC. I tried to tip him extra but he literally would not let me. This is my favorite bar in DC and you won't see me missing out on a chance to be here any time soon.
