I like the food/pricing but find it odd that it now opens up @ 9. I would go there for breakfast semi-regularly and now have to go elsewhere. Why serve breakfast if you're not open for breakfast?

BEST BREAKFAST FOOD. Do not let the location factor into this place ability to serve . they have really good food and she is very clean... im ordering some shrimp and grits right now.

Hate to say this... but this is what makes it hard to support each other. I placed an order through a mobile app, the order was accepted, and claimed to be prepared for pick up. The food never arrived - because the restaurant isn't open although it claims it is. Terrible way to run a business.

I had a steak and cheese with grilled onions and red peppers. It was great. All the sandwiches are reasonably priced. I was given a sample of the fried shrimp which was also good. I will definitely go back.

This place was very good on the food and service, even tho it's inside a gas station. I had the shrimp and grits and it was worth it. I'm thinking about what I'm gonna get next time😎😋

Restaurant was very sketchy, inside of a Mobil gas station. I saw that their other location closed so their business must have failed and they have financial problems. The other business must have failed for the same reasons that I will never return to this awful establishment. I was berated by every member of staff that I spoke to, the chicken nuggets were quite literally frozen and worse than Tyson, and I could hear the staff calling each other racial slurs. 0/10. Bad restaurant. Never eat here.

Fine if you like low grade, run of the mill soul food. Food court style environment. Not for the foodie looking for authentic, quality soul food.

I had never heard of this place before. I saw it as a choice on Uber Eats. I ordered the smothered pork chops with rice and gravy and string beans. My gawd ... it was delicious. You have gotten yourself a new customer!

I was nervous after seeing the reviews...but the food was actually good. Visiting/sightseeing DC from Philadelphia, I was hungry and needed a quick bite to eat. I ordered the fried catfish with Mac n cheese and cabbage. Food was done quick, flavorful and the customer service was great as well. Old school playlist was AWESOME so I stayed and enjoyed my platter. My only cons would be: 1. No tartar sauce. 2. The sweet tea....had an after taste that was unpleasant. Otherwise everything was great.

I had lunch at Soul Wingz on a whim one day, simply because I didn't care for any of the other restaurants in the food court. I definitely should have made a better decision. The food is mediocre and does not warrant the high prices. I had fish, cabbage, and yams and the cabbage was the only decent item. The fish wasn't seasoned well and the yams tasted sour/spoiled. The customer service was just okay. The guy who took my order seemed to be slightly annoyed when I asked a couple of questions. Overall, I would not make the decision to eat here again.

Wow, some harsh critics for this place. Okay, if your mother was an African American woman who came from North Carolina or Alabama and made Southern Soul Food the traditional old fashioned way with her own unique modifications perfected over a lifetime, well no, this place is not going to compare. And if you're looking for the kind of polite, obedient, prompt service you might expect at, say, Olive Garden, you're also going to be disappointed. But I'm going to say this place deserves four stars because compared to other mall food court meals, "Yay! I'm a fan." The only thing I miss about my first marriage was my mother-in-law's cooking, and yes, she was an African-American woman of a certain age who came up north during the tail end of the Great Migration but her cooking sensibilities never left rural North Carolina. I don't ever expect to experience that heavenly heart-attack building culinary perfection in a restaurant, but "Original Soul Wingz" really isn't bad at all, I enjoyed it. It's got more soul than the any other mall food court food, and frankly I liked that the counter service wasn't scripted, even if it wasn't the most polite exchange I've ever been in. And they were rocking 1970s funk unabashed and unfettered, so I'm coming back any time I'm around.

I ordered from soul wings today and had a horrible experience. I was weary of all the negative reviews on yelp and google but decided to still give it a try because I was craving cornbread and most of their meals come with it. I ordered the baked wings with Mac and cheese and candies yams with cornbread. The wings were sooo salty and the candied yams were more sour than sweet. I went to look for my cornbread to balance the saltiness of the chicken and realized that it was not in the bag. I immediately called the restaurant and the guy on the phone said they didn't have any. When I inquired about why they still allowed my order to go through without saying they were out of cornbread he immediately became defensive and argued that cornbread was not listed in the app. I told him that it absolutely was and I had the screenshots to prove it and he continued to go back and forth with me about how I was basically lying. I was completely taken a back by his response, and just ended the call because I knew there was no way they were going to take responsibility for anything. To anyone thinking about ordering Soul Wingz, there's a reason why they have majority negative reviews on yelp, google, and Uber eats. AVOID THIS PLACE!
