I truly love Starbucks coffee but the employees that run the store located at 415 4th Street, SE (which is inside of the Safeway) is downright disgusting. They always have attitudes and just totally lack customer service skills. I hate to even go inside and deal with them but they are on the way to work. Yesterday, I went in around 6:30am and the young lady told me I am not quite open and all I have is coffee. Well that is all I came in there for. Never once did she say good morning. I asked her for a shot of espresso and she ignored me. When I asked again she rolled her eyes. I spend entirely too much money in this place for the nonsense. The staff is like a revolving door. There is always someone new and nasty. One time I pulled into the garage to park and noticed that one of the staff members who should have been upstairs opening the store was in the garage chatting with others and had to be called by the Safeway staff to come and open the store. The whole store needs to be trashed.Now the store at South Dakota Crossing is the best. I love Stacy Canty. Her customer service skills are impeccable. I don't know the names of the others but they are simply the best and I really need to shout them out.

All I can say is, 'Sugar' (the ray of sunshine who took my order) needs an attitude adjustment and perhaps a bright light to shine in customers' faces while interrogating them for a name on their drink order. Do better, Starbucks. I was a partner years ago and you're slipping on all accounts. Lately most of my interactions in your stores have been bleak but this...this one took the moldy iced lemon pound cake in the grimy pastry case. I experienced a real trauma there, after I received a normal coffee instead of a double espresso that I ordered and paid for, out of 2 available tables inside, one was occupied by a very strange homeless lady,with a lot of her luggage, who started photograph our child and follow us outside. This shocking experience literally scared us.
