Definitely one of those places that's just there and easier than leaving the museum to eat. The food was alright but not great the receipt I have doesn't show the pizzas my wife got which were actually pretty good, just took forever. Like I said if you are in the museum and hungry this is pretty much your only option unless you want to go outside and hit food trucks. An apple is $2.20 which I thought was a bit pricey for one apple.

Stopped by to get the kiddos a quick snack since we still had a lot to see. My fiance and I were pleasantly surprised by the cost, seeing as though it's a cafe inside a museum. Have to pay attention to the weight of certain foods you choose but other then that I'd say it's a cafe we wouldn't mind splurging on now and again for the kids♥️

Very long line for the BBQ and Grill part of the cafe which didn't seem worth it. I went with the salad bar which had no line, fresh ingredients and a good selection of dressings. Just overpriced at $17/lb. Fine to go to while at the museum but definitely not somewhere to go out of your way for.

The food quality was good on this visit but be prepared if choosing weighed food to pay for the weight of the heavy dishes. Feels a bit cheeky of the museum to use fairly hefty melamine bowls and plates and not tare the scale. In the case of a salad, the bowl weighed about half of the total weight.

I've been here before and it was alright but this time was different. To start the self service stations looked abysmal. The food looked dry and old and not fresh like it should be. I got a chicken sandwich with chips and the chips were overcooked and slightly hard while the chicken sandwich was mostly breading. I will say that the actual chicken itself was good and the BBQ sauce on it was pretty tasty. Fries were hot and dessert was good but rich. Definitely overpriced for what you get. Overall your typical museum restaurant.

Fantastic!!The old reviews are flat wrong.... The new chef and the new choices are wonderful. Though it may be a small selection, the ability to pick and choose and even build your own plate is a delight. Add that to delicious food while prepared and it is a five star.

Not too expensive but the food didn’t taste very good. Cafeteria style.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality, freshness, and offerings of this cafe. Probably the best museum food I’ve ever had. Well seasoned and nice selection of healthier options.

Major Mistake! We heard food was better in the museums than the many food trucks outside. The only thing good was the air conditioning. $73 for a family of 4? Two chicken sandwiches, one fry, a small chili dog, and a chicken finger basket plus 4 fountain drinks. I already support the museum with my tax dollars and don't need to donate more. Food was below par. Do your family a favor and hop on the metro or bus to any other location outside the mall for lunch.

Honestly your typical food court in America experience. If you need a place to eat while not wanting to leave the museum this is the place to go as it has plenty of options but definitely can feel expensive, especially when they charge by the pound for some item.

Went through the line wanting to get food and ended up being guilt tripped by the casheir to buy even more food without telling the price for a burger and fries endend up spending $20. Went with a group of 4 endend up avg 30$

Average food and Michelin star prices. I appreciate the museum being free and I wouldn’t mind paying for a pricer lunch but the prices for lukewarm cafeteria food and salad bar was ridiculous. Almost $17 per pound of food. If you can, plan ahead and try to find somewhere else to eat.

Long lines, expensive food….average museum food court experience! However, the chicken sandwich was surprisingly good. It was crispy, juicy, and the sweet sauce was perfect. Surprising!

Completely bland cafe food, not even made fresh to order. We got burgers, fries, and chicken strips. I had a "special" with shoestring onions and bacon. The garnish was in a separate area that I had to ask for, and the staff seemed annoyed that I was asking for garnish. The burger was bland, cooked medium, and seemed to have been under the warmer too long. The bun was plain and lightly toasted. The fries were good, but served in a small portion. I got the combo with a bottled beer, but I had to remind the cashier about the combo pricing. There chicken strips were ok, but nothing special. The chicken had a different type of French fry, more like a home fry style, which was better than the standard fries. The condiment options were limited, as the ketchup dispenser was empty and the buffalo sauce nearly empty. There are a good variety of fountain drinks, but the ice tea is not fresh brewed. The view is the best part, overlooking a sculpture and a fountain(not running during our visit). Prices were not high for museum food, but very high for the quality. I recommend the food trucks outside instead.

Good food at Museum prices. For example my burger, fries, water, and brownie was about 28 dollars. Think how much delivery would cost, per person, but likely cheaper with membership. Not bad but I prefer the food I can get at the Native American museum.
