Arancini tasted frozen, was not hot and definitely uninspired with too much cheese and not enough flavor. The fennel and arugula salad was decent if overdressed with too much dressing and too many red onions and not enough fennel. The pizza was great. I'm not sure that this place commands the price they charge. There are definitely better priced pizzas that taste just as good elsewhere but the service and ambiance and location are all fantastic and that is most of what you are paying for. Go and try it for yourself. Decide what you like.

The pizza is amazing! the whipped ricotta on top accentuated a great neopalitan dish. We also liked the brutal sprouts with balsamic vinegar. Note, the pizza comes out fast so it may beat your appetizer. We will be going again.

Great restaurantin Union Market! Visiting DC for the weekend, the restaurant was walking distance from our hotel. We sat at the bar and saw first hand how the team worked. It was seamless, all of them working and helping each other non stop. We order the bresaola and rucola pizza and it was perfect. The mix of flavors was spectacular and the crust was one of a kind and baked right. For drinks, we had the ciliegia rossa which I would call an Italian Old fashioned and the Ugo Spritz. Both made to perfection. Nelvy was a great host and told the history of the restaurants. Would definitely visit again when in DC.

We were excited to try Stellina but found it didn't live up to the hype. The pizza was soggy in the middle, and we had asked to add stracciatella to it which we were charged for but did not receive. The margherita pizza was essentially just a standard cheese with basil leaves. Service was attentive and the drinks were good, though.

Food was amazing! We loved the Arancini and the drinks were pretty good.
Unfortunately, the service was terrible. Our waitress tried to upsell us during every single interaction, which was uncomfortable. When we politely declined, she was rude. She got one of our drink orders wrong. My fiancé ordered a beer and was brought a cocktail, which wasn’t too big of a deal, however nothing was done to correct it. She didn’t offer to comp the drink or even the $ difference (the beer was $8 and the cocktail was $15). Finally, despite the staff clearing our plates the second we finished eating (to the point where we felt we were being rushed out), we couldn’t get her to bring the check for over 30 minutes. We had to flag her down.
Overall, the delicious food wasn’t worth the bad service. Would recommend this place for takeout!

Came for New Year’s Brunch… Food and drinks were top notch. We had a variety of food and drinks including pizza, cocktails (espresso martini is fantastic) mocktails, traditional breakfast fare. Everything was very good or delicious. Service was also very good. Server was attentive and friendly. Only criticism is the atmosphere. Vibes were off for me. Had a DJ pumping electronica. Was not expecting to feel like I was in a club at noon on a weekday.
