Absolutely amazing food. The black eyes pea hummus was a pleasant suprise and the brunch punch was next level! I will definitely return!
Our experience at Succotash was exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a gracious hostess who congratulated us on our anniversary. It was a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the evening. Seated downstairs, we couldn't help but marvel at the restaurant's stunning architecture, our eyes constantly drawn to the soaring details and vibrant energy of the space. Our server was attentive and personable, and two managers stopped by during the meal to ensure everything was perfect; a level of hospitality that did not go unnoticed. We began with both varieties of the deviled eggs, each packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Our entrées, steaks, were cooked to absolute perfection and the sides (collard greens and creamy corn succotash) were both delicious. Throughout the evening, we were struck by how Succotash balances the sophistication of fine dining with the warmth and ease of true Southern hospitality. We left thoroughly impressed and already looking forward to our next visit.
As a Korean-Canadian who enjoyed watching Chef Edward Lee on the Netflix show named Culinary Class Wars last year, I was excited to visit Edward Lee’s restaurant in Washington, DC! Our server, Benjamin, was incredibly kind and attentive, always quick to help with anything we needed.
The food was amazing — clearly Korean-inspired, yet uniquely creative and unlike anything I’ve had before. It felt both familiar and refreshingly new. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back.

The food was phenomenal. Our server, Justin was very friendly and attentive. I regularly patronize Succotash at The National Harbor. I take clients and visiting family members. When my family asked to visit a nice restaurant in downtown DC, I naturally booked a table at Succotash Prime. I love the architecture of the space. The familiar appetizers were a hit with my family. My only critique would be that the menu appeared to be the same as The National Harbor. With "Prime" in the title, I was hoping for an even slightly different menu. Perhaps I could have checked online first, but I'd hoped there was a difference between the menu options at the restaurant. Overall, Succotash is an excellent restaurant. However, if you don't want to fight for parking, The National Harbor may be the more convenient choice.
Thanksgiving dinner was amazing! Family style with the entire meal on an elevated note. Cornbread was LEGENDARY

I was there for the Thanksgiving meal and I enjoyed the good service and food. I would love to comeback to try the dinner menu. I really enjoyed the sweet tea, Jamie’s Fall Salad, Jamie’s cornbread, and the turkey.

Succotash served us a very tasty Thanksgiving meal. My family enjoyed the turkey and brussels sprouts immensely. The salad was very light and refreshing. The cornbread was enjoyed by my youngest the most. Marco, our waiter, was helpful in explaining the supper items and was efficient and courteous throughout the service. The only things which kept the stars from being five is the ham was dry and the stuffing was not as flavorful as expected from southern cooking. Overall great place for a Thanksgiving meal. We overdressed for the occasion. Even saw people with sandals and t-shirts on.
The meal was a very standard Thanksgiving dinner meal. Although the portions were generous the dishes were uninspiring. The wait staff was excellent and knowledgeable, but getting seated even with a reservation was troublesome.
We did the Thanksgiving prix-fixe and the food was INCREDIBLE (same for both signature cocktails)! Every single thing was absolutely delicious, the staff was friendly and attentive (extra appreciate that considering they were all working on Thanksgiving while the rest of us were out having fun), and we weren't packed in like sardines / it wasn't too noisy - highly recommend for next year!

We went for thanksgiving dinner and we didn't leave hungry. Food was delicious and staff were wonderful.
Amazing find in heart of downtown DC. Close to Fords theater. Looked for a great meal prior a show. Table of 5. Ordered: catfish, shrimp and grits, petite filet and pimento burger. I cannot tell you HOW AMAZING the food was. Filet was perfect with a recommendation Cajun butter. Shrimp and grits totally amazing with the addition of crab etoufee. Catfish a classic!!! We ordered smoked wings as an appetizer as well as cornbread. The cornbread was to die for. Side of mac n cheese was so velvety. So awesome!!! It was about $35 to $50 per person. Totally worth it!!! Many tables. Full liquor and cocktails menu. We walked from bus stop. Full dessert menu but we were all too full. I cannot say how much I loved this place! 10/10

Succotash used to be delicious with a number of GF options. Only one GF entree on the lunch menu now. Took a group of 7 people -- entrees were ok but not great.
Great southern food. Lovely service. Don’t miss the corn bread or the fried chicken.
