A great pregame stop before a Nationals game. We were surprised by how early they closed on July 4th but made a couple other stops there during the week. Great selection of beers ans a choice for everyone.

Great food right across from Nationals' stadium. Didn't expect 20% service charge and automatic 5% tip added onto bill. Burger and soda over $40. Attendant explained that's the norm now in DC area. Not worth the cost to me.

Cool concept if you’re there to drink, the beer selections great! But the Food was disappointing. We got the veggie pizza and the description of it was incorrect. It came with mushrooms which wasn’t on the menu, and the tomatoes were not grape as advertised. There’s not really anyone to ask about the food after it’s delivered unless you wait in the beer line. the pretzel bites came with cold cheese and no plates, it was so garlicky we had to go to cvs and buy mouth wash. I’ll probably go to blue jacket or atlas next time

You seat yourself and order with a QR code and pour your own beer yet you get to pay a mandatory 20% service charge (which it reminds you is not a tip) and then tries to guilt you into leaving an actual tip. Why would you tip in a place like this since it's not a full service restaurant. And even if I am going to tip, why should it be more than 20%? Why don't the owners just raise the prices 20% if they need that to pay the wages they want to pay.

I came across this place by chance while walking around Washington, and it was such a great discovery! The concept is really cool — they have a self-serve tap system with around 99 different drink options to choose from, which was totally new to me. It’s a fun and interactive experience. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious too. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

My boyfriend and I stopped here for a bite before a Nats game while we were in DC for Warped Tour 2025. The game got rained out, but the food was delicious and lots of options on tap!

Great food, self-serve beverage, and festive atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor (covered) seating. Across the street from Nationals Ballpark.

Very different kind of a place. You pre-pay for drinks and get a card to scan at the tap of your choice. The tables have a QR code to scan to order food. Being older and not technically savvy I was lost but the staff was very helpful. They did not fully explain the pre-authorization for drinks but my tab was billed correctly within 24 hours. Food was very good.

First and foremost, be prepared to spend money if you come here. My bill was nearly $90 for just me. But, I had the best fried pickles I've ever had, a delicious chicken cordon blue grilled cheese sandwich, and many different craft brews which were all fantastic. The fruit beer in my pic is one of the best beers I've ever had. I love the self-pour, self-order system, but it's just pricey. Still, the whole experience was 5 stars for me!

I did not really eat anything there as I went for Harry Potter trivia. But the vibes were immaculate and they really worked hard to transform the place into a Harry-Potter themed arena.
I took points off because none of the house color drinks or special drinks such as butter beer were mocktails. There's a fair share of people who dont prefer to drink during trivia and no accomodations were made for them.

But overall, it was a fun experience. 8/10

The event stated that there would be free beer, but when I arrived at the venue, I was told there wasn’t any. I had known I wouldn’t have come.

Cool self service concept, but the cost per ounce of beer is kind of high. Beers run between .50 to 1.50 an ounce, with most being in the .75 to 1.00 range at the time of my visit. But…for a west coast guy, I really enjoyed being able to sample several different beers from the region. As a bonus, they had Lunch on tap from Maine Beer Company, so that is spiffy!

enjoyed the previous chef’s menu much more. the new menu removed two of my favorite items, the breadsticks and the foot long mozzarella stick. and the new food menu became a bit pricier overall, even the happy hour food specials are $10+. the nachos are old Mexican style, which i thought was kind of odd seeing as this is a sports bar right next to the baseball stadium. nevertheless, i enjoy coming here! love the staff and the sports bar atmosphere! the pizza pies are terrific!

During our three-week tour of the US East Coast, we spent three nights in DC’s Navy Yard, and one of the highlights was discovering Tap99. After a day of exploring the city’s iconic sites, we stumbled upon this gem for an early evening drink. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, patiently explaining the unique setup and offering a fantastic selection of alcoholic beverages.

We’ve just left, and I’m already wishing we had an extra night in DC just to return! Colleen, in particular, made us feel like regulars, chatting with us as if we’d been coming here for years.

If you’re visiting from the UK, Tap99 is an absolute must-visit!
