Lovely Tea Shop hidden amongst greenery off the main street near DuPont Circle! If you just want to sit in peace and have a pot of tea to yourself watching passerbys, this is the spot for you! :-) Sip slow and enjoy!

Teaism is a well-known teahouse brand with four shops in Washington, DC. I prefer the one in Dupont Circle because it has a cozy and homely feel, especially the upstairs dining area with windows overlooking the street. The place has an Asian-inspired decor and offers quality teas, all-day breakfast, bento boxes, light Japanese and Thai-style meals, and some snacks such as cookies and Asian-inspired desserts like matcha gelato, jasmine creme brulee, and mochi. We ordered salmon and Korean Beef Brisket bento sets, which tasted amazing. The salads that came with them added crunchiness to the food. The mochi had the expected texture and taste. It's a self-service establishment, so there is little to discuss about the service.

As a frequent customer, I know they have great food, great tea, and in this location, a very crowded dining room upstairs. In order at the front and wait for your food then find a table. The downtown location has spacious dining room downstairs with a koi pond.

In this cheery nook, where teas unite,Up the cozy stairs, a warm delight.Bubbles dance, and flavors shine so bright,A festival of teas, a merry sight.Though ramen's taste I did not seek,Its divine scent played hide and peek.Touch, taste, aroma in joyful blend,In this blissful haven, where moments mend.

I com here often for lunch with my partner and we love it! We are vegetarians and usually order the black bean bento box and the veggie okonomiyaki. It’s so full of flavor and plenty of food for two! We always wonder if we should try other things because all the other food we see in the other tables always look great, but we like these two too much to change, maybe next time! The teas are also great!Vegetarian options: Several great vegetarian options !

I love this place! Delicious food, good tea, lovely atmosphere. A great place to meet a friend for a long leisurely conversation or to sit down and read a book for a few hours. Somehow even though they do a range of cuisines, they do them all well!Vegetarian options: Palak paneer is awesome

The DC folks that get it, get it AND know that Teaism is a cafe gem! From the food to the ambience, Teaism is an intimate space in the city where you can go relax, work or meet up with friends. My go to order here is the chai + salty oatmeal raisin cookie!

I stumbled across this place by Accident 11-5-23 after the Welcome Spirits & Spice to the neighborhood event!! Serving Gelato & Liqueurs! That review will come soon.!!. It wasn't quite 11am for the starting event so I walked in and I honestly was expecting just Tea!! But they served Food!!!! which was amazing because after liqueur sampling I'd have to run quickly to grab some food!!.. after the event I came here it's nice very quaint ! The lady immediately helped me I pray her name was Brittany she was so nice I told her I've never been here she recommended some menu items. They have tables outside , a bench & table setting inside and upstairs tables and seating... one well two of her recommendations I got !! The Thai Chicken Curry (one here and one to go and the Bento Box Brisket to go) lemme tell YOUU that Thai chicken curry huntaaaay was full of flavor the chicken tender!! And paired well with the brown rice ! Let my grilled veggies stew In That curry broth yummmmier.. If I wasn't out in a public place I would've went full beast (see pics lol) it was THAT GOOD!! & towards the end of the bowl more delicious curry soaked chicken!! It's definitely enough to split or take the rest home because you WILL get full ..I love mostly that it's a healthy hearty dish!! I had to sit there . Overall that meal was worth every penny spent !! I'll DEFINITELY BE BACK!! I might have found my Go-To !! Thank you for the gracious hospitality and customer service!!
