Lots of great options for food. Really good lattes. Quick service. The TUB was a sandwich I had with double bacon, two kinds of eggs and hashbrowns, nice size portions.
Have a disappointing experience at Ted which is rare. Order the Mew York Strip steak special and got the hanger steak. The waiter said he was told it was the strip steak. I showed him a picture of a new your strip steak and a hanger steak to verify the difference. They did not offer a correction, they asked if I wanted to order something else. I kept the hanger steak which was prepared well.
Seated on time. Our food and service were great. I was surprised at how fast end efficient the kitchen was because of how busy the restaurant was. Our server was friendly and helpful. The pop tarts were the cherry on top! Delicious.
Great option if you have young kids. The space is nice, has a full bar, good desserts / baked goods, a kid's menu with good options, and provides a large piece of paper with crayons for the little ones. The booths are comfortable for a party of 4 but they also have tables you can put together for larger parties. The best part of the experience is the service. We had Nicole take care of us last Saturday evening and she made sure we had a great experience. Friendly, not rushed at all and thoughtful when to check in and accommodate changes for the little ones (splitting a dish).
Fun place. Lots of energy. Great menu. Friendly manager checked on us. Wish we lived closer!
From the front door greeting to leaving, everyone is an amazing TEAM! What a great experience every time!
Loved brunch but I got 15 different notifications on 5 different platforms reminding me of my reservation, which was over the top!!
Food is good and menu has something for everyone. The best part is the staff. Anna is an awesome server. She has taken care of our family a few times and she always remembers us and our preferences. She is great with kids. The last time my daughter and I were there she had another table with a couple that had a baby. She took care of them seamlessly while juggling everyone else.
Ted's was good! I wouldn't say amazing, but good! I won't go into the food or service because I want this post to focus on the INCLUDED 20% charge for eating out in DC. After reading about the new ‘included charge,' the law reads that there needs to be postings in establishments that clearly state the 20% charge as a service charge/fee to help support restaurant workers. I don't remember seeing the posting, but I won't say that there isn't one because I may have missed it. The law also reads that servers need to disclose this to costumers, this didn't happen either. SO......our server Drew got a little extra s'in s'in in the form of an ADDITIONAL 20% tip, on top of the 20% we paid extra for, a ‘good' experience. We see you Drew, but this seems a bit shady.........🤷🏻♂️
In our opinion, a traditional American Dinner / Bar open all day serving an amazing breakfast, exceptional value with attentive staff... Nice ambience, so went back a second time...

Waiter was good but other help was not. Forgot food, cold food, coffee yucky. Have been there many times before and always liked it
Service was slow but waitress was cordial. Avocado toast was fantastic. Ted's tarts were good
Our server Drew was amazing! Very informative and patient, as it was our first time there. We will be back for sure!
Our server was excellent, the food arrived as ordered and tasted wonderful. WE've decided to make this our regular Friday breakfast gathering spot!
Food was fine, but nothing special; beer selection was poor; and service was lackluster. We ordered dessert to share but noted we had to leave soon for a concert. Waited 20 minutes just for a slice of cake. And had to get someone's attention to get it that soon. Wait staff was missing in action at various times. And one irritation that I'm noticing more often in DC restaurants: a required surcharge to the bill. When will restaurants just be honest and raise their prices. That would be fine, but surreptitiously jacking the up bill without notice is a low class move. There was no notice of it on the web site, the menu, or the card reader. It wasn't until I asked for a printed copy of the bill that it was disclosed. Only 5%, but the dishonesty is annoying to say the least.
