This place has a Jamaican inspired chipotle concept.
Food has some flavor but no reminiscence of actual Jamaican or Caribbean flavors.
For two bowls, 1 water and drink, it was $39.60.
The jerk chicken has 0 spice and tastes like charcoal chicken, or even Peruvian style chicken.
Fried rice was good and the spicy sauce was flavorful.
If you want something quick and with a little bit of flavor, versus going to your neighborhood Chipotle, stop by here.
I would not recommend to someone hoping for an authentic or close to authentic Jamaican food (primarily the proteins) experience.

Man! The food was amazing, oxtails fell off the bone, the rice and peas were amazing, and the angry Mac was crazy delicious. The chief even came out to check how we enjoyed our food. Chief Bean was extremely personable and brought an energy to the atmosphere that was unlike any other angry jerk location. I enjoyed my food and my experience.
Just WOWWWWWW! I had the food before a few months ago at the silver spring location and it was good . This location was different the flavor was definitely packing and not slacking ! I felt like an angry jerk after I realized all my food was gone and I couldn’t take the New Chef Home! Chef Beno Thank you so much !10/10 from the front of the line to the back of the kitchen! I had an amazing experience today ! The chef was very nice to come out the kitchen and explain the Menu and how the food is Made to perfection! I will definitely return with some of my colleagues to this location!

Restaurantji Recommends
Went in yesterday and it was a clean establishment with a nice flow of people coming in. Got the wings w/yuca fries and Mac n cheese. A little disappointed in the yuca fries portion but they were good. Wings pretty mid but the sauce( Jamaican mumbo) made up for it. Mac n cheese was really good. Overall I’m giving it a 4 due to it being a little overpriced imo.

Pleasantly surprised! As soon as I walked in the restaurant, it smelled like good Jamaican food. The music was on point and authentic and the ambiance was a vibe.
Some of the food behind the glass didn’t quite look Jamaican and more like Chipotle so I was a bit worried. However, when they brought the food out, it looked amazing, and what I am used to.
I ordered brown stew snapper with rice and peas, steamed cabbage and plantains.
The chef was very nice and hooked me up with an amazing dish. Can’t wake to go back and bring family and friends.
Vegetarian options: The babe curry chicken peas for vegetarian and lots of vegetarian sides to choose from like Mac n cheese, plantains, steamed cabbage, rice and peas, and chow mein.
Parking: I went around 7pm and found street parking quickly and was about a 15 second walk from the restaurant. However since it’s the metropolitan area, it may be difficult to find parking during the day.
