The Commodore DC is a great spot for good food and a chill vibe. The comfort food hits the spot, the drinks are solid, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The staff are friendly and make the experience easy and enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d come back to for a relaxed night out.

The Commodore became our nightly spot while visiting the amazing DC - the bartenders and staff are so very fun and were welcoming to us each time. We watched the game here and were served the best vodka sodas with lime! The interior design is that of a nautical pub and I dig the use of rope and even a steering wheel of sorts! Thank you Commedorians! You are great!

Nice outdoor seating and delicious froze.
What a decline. We stopped here for brunch after the No Kings Protest, thirsty and hungry. Chicken tenders were inedible, and totchos were cold. Tab was about $65. We decided to leave gracefully, leaving a 20% tip, only to realize that they charge a 5% service fee. Feels dishonest. Do better.

Ate outside to accommodate my dogs, and had a very nice experience! The food is very filling and there's a large variety to choose from. The staff was very nice and even gave us bug spray to help with the mosquitos.

Great neighborhood bar with decent prices. Quick service also. No vegan options which is lame.

Portions were small, service was slow, and bill was LARGE! I had the avocado toast with salmon and it was merely one slice of bread with avocado spread over it with about 3 small slices of chipped salmon. I wanted to add fruit, but they were out. Yes, on a brunch Sunday on Labor Day weekend. I asked for a side salad with tomatoes. It arrived with no tomatoes. The two items together were equivalent to a side at a normal restaurant, but they charged $21. This should have been around $8. My friend got the same with a diet coke and they charged for each refill.
When I asked for a check, she said I would need to pay first to get a print out of the check... I normally don't right bad reviews, but with all this absurdity, I decided to write this review to help people avoid an awful experience. After spending $45 on brunch, I left hungry. Yes, very upsetting. Maybe they are a good bar, but they need to get their act together with food.

Great ambience
Very decent local bar with interesting drinks and food. The rail drinks could be a little stronger and they have trivia nights on Tuesday. I live nearby and love to stop by for a drink after work.

Terrible experience. My friend and I were meeting several other friends here for a birthday bash when the bouncer decided that us “finishing a drink” before we got in line was cause to keep us from entering the establishment.
Of the friend group of 15+ friends we were likely the most sober two of the group. Unfortunately the poor judgement of the bouncer put a damper on our night and caused 15+ people to leave the establishment! No clear explanation was given.
Wont be back again! Expect ill judged terrible service before you come.
The Commodore did not disclose its service charge prominently. This is a deceptive business practice. I will not be returning.
Bartender is the bomb
Music too loud for a place with no dancefloor. I was struggling to hear the person next to me. Kind of takes away from the vibe and makes it difficult to stay here for too long.
I went for an alumni event, so your experience may be different, but the chicken and pigs in a blanket were excellent. The cocktail I had was pretty good, too. Also, they had a framed picture of Matt Berry as Lazlo Cravensworth/Jackie Daytona. The vibe was superb.
