Friendly staff, and recently added a couple more Guinness taps. Really great mixed drinks and good wine list, paired with standard but tasty Irish Pub fare. Good burgers, and great shepherds pie!
If you want an authentic Irish pub experience in DC, The Dubliner is the real deal—and a huge part of that is Joe behind the bar.
Joe isn’t just a bartender; he’s a walking book of knowledge. Whether the conversation drifts into history, politics, spirits, or life in general, the guy can hold court effortlessly. On top of that, he makes one of the best Irish Coffees I’ve ever had—perfectly balanced, smooth, and dangerous in the best way.
