The Grill From Ipanema

We were a group of 4, none of us ate because the food was terrible. I ordered the Moqueca and the sauce was warm but the sea food was cold. I'm pretty sure they just threw frozen stuff into a pot of sauce. The drinks and pão de queijo were good but that's about it. As a Brazilian I was very shocked with the poor quality of the food, it's not authentic Brazilian food.

The food and drinks were very good. The restaurant space is very nice. The service was great! The only thing that I didn't like was the overhead spotlight that was shining directly in my eyes, but we will go back again.

Dining in with a large party for a birthday. The staff was very helpful and kind, even accommodating my cranky 22 month old with a “snack” of black beans and rice while we waited for our party to order dinner, which he thoroughly appreciated. My steak and drinks were excellent and everyone in the party was impressed with the quality of the meal. Not to mention the generous birthday ice cream slice.

This restaurant had amazing service and even better food. The owner checked in once or twice since we had a new server. All In all a great experience for trying some new food. The aesthetic inside was beautiful and had few open tables so we got lucky. Would recommend to anyone.

My mom and I loved this place. Food is DELICIOUS, the service is great, very lovely staff and the environment is peaceful. We loved it so much that we went back next day. Highly recommended!! Next time I go to DC, definitely I will be back.

We recently visited during summer restaurant week and had a fantastic experience. We opted for the $55 per person menu, which included an appetizer, a main course, and dessert—everything was fresh and delicious. The service was amazing, and we enjoyed sitting at the bar to take advantage of happy hour as well. We can't wait to return!

I am in town with a group of 20 for a conference. I was looking around for a restaurant that could handle a large group for dinner. The owners were so nice and accommodating! I arrived 20 minutes earlier than my reservation time to ensure we would be seated timely, and to my surprise they had our table ready! The wait staff was fantastic and the food was delicious! I highly recommend this local family owned business. We will definitely make this our annual spot!
