Had a reservation, was not seen by a server for over half an hour after the time we were seated.

I've been a regular for years - the service, the room, the feijoada...all of it and much more always has my family coming back!

I went to try this restaurant and decided to take someone to experience Brazilian food for the first time. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. We both ordered the picanha plate, medium done. The meat was extremely hard. I had a knife and still had to struggle just to cut a small piece, rubbing the knife over the meat several times. It was hard to chew, hard to swallow, and honestly didn’t taste good at all.

What made it even more upsetting was the price. I spent around $160 on food that I didn’t even enjoy. The coxinha barely had any chicken inside, and another dish we ordered was also hard and not enjoyable. The staff was friendly and very nice, and I have nothing negative to say about the service. My issue is strictly with the food.

I would not come back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It was very disappointing. Now that I’m back in my hometown, I’m taking this person to other Brazilian restaurants so they can actually have a real Brazilian food experience. For the amount of money I spent, the food should have been amazing.

This is constructive criticism. The picanha needs to taste like real Brazilian picanha, and the overall Brazilian food quality needs improvement. Also, for the price charged, the coxinhas should have much more filling. I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but this one is meant to help the business improve. I honestly left the place feeling upset.

Great value for the weekend brunch. Everything was tasty and generously portioned for the cost. Will have to come back for dinner and drinks!

I booked a reservation here for a large birthday gathering, and it was fantastic! Kelly was our server and was incredibly friendly and the service overall was excellent. The restaurant was very accommodating for our big group, and the food, desserts, and drinks were all delicious. I would highly recommend this place for any special occasion!

The Grill From Ipanema has great Brazilian vibes and flavorful dishes. The meats are tender and well seasoned, and the sides are fresh and filling. The staff is friendly and keeps the energy upbeat, especially on busy nights. It’s a fun spot for a group dinner or a casual date — definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mood for authentic Brazilian fare.

My wife and I took some friends to The Grill From Ipanema to try Brazilian food, and we were impressed! The food is amazing, and the service was perfect. We had feijoada, moqueca, bobó de camarão. Everybody loved everything. We went during brunch, and they have a great value menu (3 courses, approximately $33), and great caipirinhas. Raquel and Ana took great care of us. We'll be returning soon.

New favorite spot! The dishes were incredible, highly recommend the first pasta option with shrimp. It was so flavorful and HUGE portion. Skip the cheese filled bread, was very bland. Passion fruit juice was also delicious! The meals are a bit overpriced in my opinion.

The Grill from Ipanema is one of my go to restaurants in the city. Food is wonderful and very different from most of the run of the mill restaurants in the city. My friend worked in Brazil for quite a few years, and told me she thinks the food is very authentic. The moqueca with fish is one of my favorite dishes. The staff is always welcoming and service oriented. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant for any occasion, and even more so for a special occasion.

The food was delicious! I the 3-course brunch & chose Sopa de Sururu (spicy mussel soup), Moqueca de Peixe a Baiana (stew), Romeu & Julieta (guava paste w/ cheese dessert), & Caiparinha cocktail. Delicious!!!

A great spot for Brazilian food in DC. Both indoor and outdoor spaces are available. The service was very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The atmosphere makes it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. They have a large seating area.

The menu offers a great range of Brazilian dishes, and I highly recommend the Brazilian Paella—flavorful, generous, and beautifully presented. The chicken breast was good but not amazing. They also have a nice variety of drink options. I liked the passion fruit juice.
