I was disappointed with my experience at the Hamilton. It really was only a 2.5 star experience, not 3. It wasn’t all bad, but it was not what I expected. The restaurant is beautiful and our server. Courtney was great as well. They were three of us eating that evening and my husband loved his monkfish, my son-in-law said his hamburger was average, but my crabcake platter was less than average. For an upscale restaurant and the upscale price that I paid, it should’ve been larger...
3 nights in DC, this is night one after traveling most of the day. Loved everything…Service, food and ambiance. Had great entrees of crabcake and fruitta de mare. Started with the very yummy crave bisque. We were a little disappointed they had ran out of dumplings and the tuna entree but so many other options. First time but won’t be the last,
Service was terrible. Had reservations, got there on time only to watch people without a reservation be seated until I said something. Once seated, the waitress finally came and took order. Once order received waitress took waitress awhile to see how meal was going and to ask if we needed anything else. If you are in the area, fine then eat here but do not go out your way to make a trip to this restaurant.
