The Mirror Reviews
The staff is entitled and degrading… what’s worse is management clearly supports this. They’ll likely survive on tourism but locals in DC beware… this place is not interested in being a part of the service industry. Won’t be returning and will certainly steer others elsewhere.

The Mirror is a small, elegant restaurant with a unique atmosphere, featuring a dimly lit speakeasy and a mysterious mirror entrance. It is known as a neighborhood favorite, with a dark moody vibe that still allows guests to see in front of them. The place is stylish and cozy, with couches adding a nice touch. While the space can be quite crowded and seating limited, finding the entrance is easy—just look for the giant mirror as the name suggests. The bar stands out with its fantastic old fashioned cocktails, which are smooth and expertly crafted, providing a great experience. The service is fast and friendly, and the bathrooms are clean. The vibe is amazing, making it an excellent spot for a chatty night with friends or a quieter evening during the week. However, the place can be very noisy due to the crowd and music, which might make conversations difficult. The Mirror offers a fun atmosphere and excellent drinks, perfect for those looking for a lively night out, with a real speakeasy experience right down to the hidden entry behind the mirror. The drinks are top-notch, including old fashioned cocktails with heavy bourbon, large ice cubes, and appropriate garnish, providing a relaxing night with old friends. While the place can be a bit cramped when busy and the prices a little higher than expected, the Mirror is a very vibey drink spot with a cheeky and fun entrance to kick off the experience.
