The Monocle Restaurant Reviews
Returning to Washington from a France worn down by its own melancholy — a nation led by a presidential couple seemingly disconnected from l'esprit de grandeur — was a relief. We had the most amazing evening, celebrating our wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived, John met us with a smile and promptly sat us. I forgot my reading glasses and he graciously let me borrow his (thank you again!).

The Monocle Restaurant is a well-run establishment that has maintained its high standards for over 20 years. The professional and courteous wait staff attend to guests' needs with excellence, ensuring attentive service without rushing customers. Guests have shared their delight in the exceptionally delicious food, enjoying dishes like the renowned New York strip steak, the 16-ounce steak special, and the filet. The crab Imperial and accompanying sides, such as the scalloped potatoes and creamed spinach, received positive mentions. The ambient atmosphere is calm and elevated, making it suitable for both business and leisure dining. Although the dessert selection is somewhat limited, guests have enjoyed the classic lemon pie. Overall, The Monocle Restaurant provides a great dining experience that will leave customers eager to return, even if some find the noise from young children a bit distracting at times.
