The Palm - Washington, D.C.

Food was fine, not great but perhaps the fish of the day wasn't the right thing to order. Ambiance was fine and staff was excellent. Don't think I would go back...

Overall one of my favorite restaurant in DC. Overall the food is outstanding and service is very attentive. This restaurant should be on everyone's list of one of the finest in the DC area.

Have been here before several years ago. Everything was generally great especially the server. Very nice and friendly. Was a Monday evening so restaurant was pretty quiet. Food was very tasty, portions good size. Would come back again.

It’s a nice quiet restaurant with great service but that’s it. I had high hopes for this restaurant till I had my food. The food is on par with restaurants like Outback. I personally think even long horn has better steaks for the price. There are much better restaurants in DC for the prices Palm charges for the steaks and sides. My steak, sides and the key lime pie were just ok or even mediocre in my opinion! Nothing special!

I foolishly gave them another chance. Friday night at 7 pm only 4 other tables there. Everyone's steak was chewy. I didn't even finish my bone in rib eye because it started to taste like blue cheese. The entire cap was left and I didn't even want to finish it. The lobster Mac and cheese barely had any lobster. The potatoes were the only good side dish.

Great restaurant! Great staff! Menu and food did not disappoint! The lunch prix fix was terrific!

The Palm DC is ALWAYS THE BEST! Reggie was our server tonight & he was the BEST! THANK YOU REGGUE FOR MAKING THE BIRTHDAY LADY FEEL SO VERY SPECIAL!!

Excellent onion salad. Great Veal chop parmigiana. Sean is a caring, efficient server. espresso martini needs some work. outstanding valet service

Drinks, most food, and service great. Lobster not quite as sweet and tasty as it should be.

Our experience at the Palm was nothing short of fabulous. We went to the Palm for a work lunch to celebrate a colleagues birthday. I notified the Palm in advance that the lunch occasion was a birthday. The proactivity of the staff was amazing. A birthday card had been placed on the table, a desert with a candle had been arranged before we even asked for it and the wait staff came out singing happy birthday much to the delight of my colleague. The food was excellent and the ambience of the restaurant was very pleasant. Thank you again. We will definitely be coming back!

Reginald was a great waiter. Made our experience even more enjoyable. Chicken Parm was amazing as usual. 

It was a lovely family dinner with good food. But honestly it was not truly special. We were told it was elegant. Classic. It was not. Sure it is a DC restaurant success story just not the wow we were expecting for $500 Will we return. No There are Other DC choices for really exceptional dining Would we recommend it? Why not - but we'd be candid with our - and just our- assessment

I was excited to dine at The Palm, making reservations weeks in advance before our trip. Neat atmosphere. We sat right away. Water and bread were brought to us immediately. We then sat for 30 minutes with no further interaction from any of the staff. There were literally 4 tables of people total in the dining area. Orders were being placed, drinks served and wait staff walked around us with zero attention or consideration towards us. We left. They tried to “make it right” and convince us to stay by offering a bottle of wine. The experience was ruined at this point. We won't return.

I've dined here at least 100 times since 2003 and every exeperience is great! The food is top notch! My steak was cooked perfectly! Our server, John, was fantastic and consdering he had our table and 5 others, he really hustled to keep us happy. He's a credit to The Palm and its promise to deliver a great dining experience. We will be back real soon!
