The Palm offers a top notch menu paired with superb service and attention. From the chilled shrimp cocktail to the ribeye the product was fresh and cooked to temperature. The cheesecake was rich and had just a perfect balanced texture. Sean was attentive and provided great recommendations. He clearly enjoyed the cuisine and was proud of the history of The Palm and its mark in Washington. Thank you for a pleasant, comfortable yet elevated dining experience.
It was wonderful! I expected the check to be more than it was! The restaurant was warm, they made to make the temperature cooler.
The Palm in DC was very good. It started off poorly, when the hostess wanted to seat us outside the main dining room, at a dark table adjacent to the bar. But we refused the table and then things were much better The service was excellent and our waiter attentive but not intrusive. The appetizers and salads were excellent. The shrimp cocktails were exceptional - very large shrimp and fresh. The steaks were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The desserts were also outstanding - especially the chocolate cake! We'll be back again soon.
Service was impeccable! But my chicken parm was too thin and buried under the thick cheese and sauce. Would've preferred a nice piece of chicken breast , not sure what cut was served. Nice wine selection and overall a good experience.
My wife and I have been going to The Palm DC for years. Our caricatures are even featured above the booth where we routinely sit. We always loved going there and, despite its high-end price, we thought it worth it. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case, and we can no longer recommend it. It has been in a steady decline since the pandemic. The service on our last (March 17, 2025) visit was the poorest we have ever experienced there (the waiter was hurried and rarely came to check on us, and was rude when he did), and the food was a far cry from the quality we had come to expect over the years. Even settling the bill was a chore, taking us about 1/2 hour to complete. And, we were never so happy to leave. I highly recommend taking a pass on this place!
Five patrons. Crab legs were cold and sent back. Appears all the chef did was micro wave. Terrible. Steaks were tasty but extremely salty. Overall disappointing meal. Will return to Capitol Grill or Ruth's Chris.
Awesome service. Met Michael - General Manager and Melinda - Events Manager and both very enthusiastic and service with a smile. Loved the energy! Alex our server was so professional and cordial. Would definitely return and return!
The Palm has been Washington's power steakhouse for a half century. The lunch specials are reasonably priced. Shrimp cocktail is phenomenal. Lobsters three and four pounds are delightful. Lots of Italian accents on the menu. Service is impeccable and highly professional consistently.
I am a long time fan of the Palm. I tried the porterhouse with the expectation of a Wolfgang porterhouse. It was good , but not great. Need to put the steak on the plate back into the oven and get the juices flowing. Good try. I will probably get filet mignon or ny strip next time. Service was great!
The Palm is always a wonderful choice and I'm so glad I celebrated my birthday here. Our waiter was truly fantastic. I didn't catch his name, unfortunately, but we share the same birthday and he did such an amazing job. I couldn't have asked for better service. The food was delicious, of course, and the birthday card on the table was such a delightful touch. Thank you!

Ordered something to go, which was very good. The carrot cake is absolutely delicious.

The quality of the food was not adequate for the price and the standard of the restaurant. The fried calamari was inferior in an unappetizing batter. They were served with a mayo and garlic slurry. Aioli is different and delicious. But unfortunately it wasn't. The green beans were ok, but here too there could have been a little more finesse than simply roasting garlic with them. For example, fresh thyme or something similar. Furthermore, a side of mash was served, which should have been mashed potatoes. But it was more like baby porridge. It was a far cry from delicious mashed potatoes with a little cream and milk, salt and nutmeg. An imposition. The fillet was well fried. Nice and crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside as ordered. Just unfortunately very dry.
Simply the best steak I've ever had. The service was exceptional as well.

We went to the palm to celebrate two birthdays. I have always loved going there, but I must admit since it is now Landry it is not quite the same as it used to be surprising on Friday. The restaurant was pretty quiet, which was very unusual in the old days, the half-and-half GG salad was still delicious. And my son enjoyed his steak. Lobster however did not live up to my prior expectations. Was not as juicy or even though it had a very large claw I always remember looking forward to my dinners there this one, not quite up to my expectations.
Everything from start to finish was excellent! It was a quiet Friday afternoon and we had very attentive and friendly service. The Chicken alla Milanese salad was flavorful and perfect! The West Side Cobb Salad was huge and satisfying! Definitely will return
