$5.5 cappuccino *for here*. Scorched milk comparable to Starbucks that's cheaper and doesn't m ask for a tip. Never coming

Came here for the first time and it's the cutest, coziest coffee shop one could ask for. I ordered the hot caramel macchiato and it was so flavorful, rich, and smooth. I look forward to coming back.

Nice atmosphere—comfy chairs, big windows, relaxing coffee shop music. The coffee is eh. We ordered a pour-over coffee and they gave us drip coffee thinking it was the same thing. Also ordered an oat latte and a side shot of espresso which were OK. I enjoyed sitting in here and reading though. One of the few non-chain coffee shops open early in the morning.

This cafe is one of those that opened during or after Covid. It's an Eritrean outfit. Their disposable cups were so lovely that I didn't dispose mine and took it home, rinsed it, and am keeping it. :-) It's expensive though. But then again, everything is expensive now in DC. 'Tis inflation time. The décor is Ethiopian/Eritrean, but not oppressively so. It's a wide open space, not cosy / claustrophobic like Harrer (another Ethio coffee shop).

There was a rude and unprofessional server who ruined the day my friend and I wanted to enjoy. Not only that she provided terrible customer service she was arguing with us in a very aggressive manner and at the end as we were leaving and I said I was going to write the review, she refused to give us her name.Trully terrible manners. I am also writing to the owner of the coffee shop as I am wondering who would hire person with such terrible manners.

The barista either wasn't trained, didn't care or both. Weak Latte with badly scalded milk.

The Roasted Boon is a coffeehouse that is nestled in the Shaw 'hood - their menu offers pour overs, espresso, iced/frozen drinks, teas, smoothies, and even bagels/pastries. They even recently added fuul to the menu! I stopped by to get a caffeine fix and tried the Shaw Latte - this was prepared with espresso, French vanilla flavoring, and topped with some grated nutmeg. This was served extra hot and was pretty tasty! There was only one employee on site, who seemed to be manning the cashier and preparing the drinks/food - pretty impressive! There was ample seating, and I really liked the decor and the open space. There's also outdoor seating as well for those who like al fresco dining. Great neighborhood spot! Extremely limited street parking available. +great lattes +friendly service +indoor and outdoor seating available +limited street parking

A cute little cafe with good drinks and pastries. There were a lot of people in the cafe working on their laptops, overall a nice place to meet up with friends or to work/study.
