The Roost is a one stop food and drink gem located an area with a shortage of night life. It closes early, but one can get a meal and good booze before 10 pm. A little on the pricey side but when there is no competition you charge what you want.

I live around the corner so come here often to feel that my review is valid. the concept of the roost is ideal and Capitol Hill doesn’t have too many options when it comes to food. But the customer service is lacking. Multiple times now I have come during afternoon/ evening where my food is over cooked and super dry. I had a spritz drink that was nothing but syrup at the bottom. the coffee is also inconsistent. For the prices they charge, consistency matters idc. also, the employees rarely check on you they walk around “looking busy” during slow peak times yet ignoring you. There is almost so much staff they seem like they have nothing to do but huddle around and chitchat including the managers. To me it’s not worth the money.

Overpriced, extremely mediocre food. We've tried almost all the different places. The sushi place is good but stupid expensive. The pizza place is meh. The price for drinks is stupid. Also, they don't do happy hour on Friday.

Got some tacos and a burger. Was great to have many food options being with a large group of friends. Most things felt very shareable. So many things to try.
The bar menu was not fully up to date so definitely worth going inside if you want all the options.

An interesting place where several different restaurants have been brought together under one brand. After an unpleasant surprise at the restaurant across the street, this one saved the honor of the street. Good food, friendly service, and an engaging atmosphere — a great business idea

Great place for a group with kids! There are activities in a corner for kids to do. You can also order activities to your table. The ordering via app from multiple restaurants provides ample selection for a group with diverse tastes and allows separate bills for each ordered. Prices were high, but it’s Washington DC, so that’s to be expected. Service was super fast and friendly and all the waitstaff were very helpful and accommodating to kids.

A great spot to try new food. Ordering is straight forward and prices are average. Food temp was a little low and food wasn't that memorable.

I stopped by The Roost for the first time to see what the atmosphere was like. I love the concept its an open space with ample seating and diversed food and beverage options all under one Roost . . And roof lol. It's almost like a family friendly cafeteria with exceptional food, appetizer, cocktails and desert options. They also have incubators if needed for meetings. (Potentially upon reservation). I will definately be returning
