This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go! The Roost was my go to during the pandemic with tons of outdoor seating. Since it was in my neighborhood we frequented a lot. The staff watched my little one practically grow up there! It became our meeting place and neighborhood watering hole. Quick and efficient and some of the best food and customer service! We’ve moved from the area but always stop by when in town because it feels like home!

The Roost is one of the most cohesive food halls I’ve visited, offering a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Unlike some food halls that can feel chaotic, The Roost has a calm atmosphere with great music that enhances the overall vibe. It’s an excellent spot for lunch, with a welcoming ambience and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, making it a prime destination for spring and summer dining.
From the moment I walked in, I could tell that the staff was well-organized and attentive. As I explored the different food options, a manager (or someone in a similar role) noticed me browsing and kindly handed me a hardcopy menu that listed all the restaurants. He even took the time to explain how the ordering process worked and personally took my order, which was a nice touch.
I decided to try Hi-Fi Tacos and opted for the lunch special: one pork, one beef, and one fish taco, along with a soda. The food arrived quickly, hot, and fresh. Each taco had great flavor, and the quality of ingredients was evident.
With so many other restaurants to explore, I know this won’t be my last visit. The Roost is definitely going on my list of regular lunch spots, and I look forward to trying more of what this food hall has to offer. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a place to hang out with friends, The Roost is a fantastic choice in DC.

My food was incredible, it was really hard to get our server to the table if we needed some thing though. I got the chicken enchiladas and a Sprite, really good.

Everything here is fresh and delicious. So efficient and comfortable, and everyone who works here is so nice. Great place to work during the day or grab a meal with friends. So many options if you have a crowd with different preferences/restrictions and accommodates allergies (like gluten). Love!
