The food here is outstanding. Dishes are delicately and beautifully prepared. The homemade pastas with the choice of sauces were Devine. Tried chicken parm, chicken picatta, and amazingly delicious sea bass. All meals were wonderful.

Service was great; they let us customize the pasta order. Food was good! FYI, antipasto for two comes with pickled veggies (and lots of carrots) on top of the meat and cheese. Meat and cheese was really great, but if you don't like pickled or olives, then be cautioned.

Excellent. Very pleasant , we were attended by Ernie 1 of the owners . He was amazing. We only stop in for a drink because we had no reservations but they still accommodated us at the bar. We had a great time . And great drinks

Nestled neatly into Barracks Row, this longtime establishment offers an incredible cozy atmosphere. It's a fantastic family run business and the staff were great. The tortellini alla panna was delicious. The penne alla vodka was solid, but a little bland. I'm eager to come back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend to those in the area looking for a casual italian spot.

Delicious, authentic Italian food. I love coming to places like this that feel cozy and welcoming. I'll definitely return on my next visit to D.C.

The restaurant has an authentic Italian feel but the food was really subpar. The price for a plate of pasta didn’t reflect the portion. It was $32+ for shrimp Alfredo and there was only 5 pieces of shrimp in the dish. It was a small portion of noodles also. The salad was okay. The calamari was unseasoned. The garlic bread was cold. for $60-70 per person, we expected more.

One of the single-handedly best Italian restaurants in the country. Incredible food and ambiance. It is family owned and operated and the brothers who own the place were wonderful to my grandfather when he lived in the area. He still comes back any time he is back in town and they still greet him like he never left.Do not have a bad thing to say about Trattoria Alberto!
