The Betsy is a favorite spot in Barracks Row and an Eastern Market gem. The drinks are fantastic, with a delicious and refreshing lemon gin and tonic and a gin and tonic with cardamom and ginger. The cocktails are made with love and are never disappointing. The chicken wings and waffle bites are delightful. The ambiance is adorable and fantastic, and the staff is great, with a delightful and attentive server. It is a great place for a first date or a drink with the love of your life. However, the menu can be a little tedious and overpriced for the drinks and setting. Also, brunch hours are a problem; the website says open at 9:30 for brunch, but it is never open, so checking is recommended. If open, the food, drinks, and atmosphere are great, and the entrance is through an alley but worth it.
