The barrista was exceptional and the coffee was top tier, the cashiers were not listening to my order ( the barrista corrected it as if their mistakes was the norm), they seem preoccupied with what, I couldn't tell.
Having lived in AdMo for a long time now, every will suggest Tryst as a staple of the neighborhood that you absolutely MUST try. Unfortunately, it doesn't really live up to the hype. Like all restaurants under the Tryst Trading Company umbrella, the service is just really bad. Running a coffeehouse for 70-80 people with just a couple of baristas working as waiters inevitably means long wait times to be seen. chai lattes and cocktails are really good though. Service is okay and atmosphere is lively. Tryst is a place to come sit and read a book while you people watch and sip on a coffee or cocktail. Not a place for food!!!!
