What a pleasure it is to dine here. The DMV has never known an omakase experience until the arrival of Two Nine. The care and attention that’s taken into each bite is an out of body experience. As someone who was lucky enough to experience omakase dinners in Tokyo, this is an authentic and memorable experience as it gets in the US. This review is for the omakase counter, which is exceptional. Our meal was a beautiful balance of quality and creativity. Complimented perfectly by the whimsical sake pairing. What a delightful way to spend an evening, ending in a pastry I’ve been dreaming about ever since.

my review is for the morning/daytime cafe. i LOVED it. the matcha was the best quality i have found in DC, and i am picky. the matcha latte was beautifully balanced, creamy and lush. i got two hand rolls: spicy tuna and salmon avocado. as a gluten free gal, i was so happy to find out the spicy tuna was gluten free! they took really good care of me in that way, they even gave me gluten free soy sauce. the salmon and avocado were so fresh. i really enjoyed the snack. the cherry...
