Hands down, the best French patisserie I’ve been to outside of France. I think we’ve tried everything they sell at this point? We will go first thing in the weekend so we can pick out a selection of sweet and savory breakfast croissants, and getting a dessert for after dinner. Everything is baked to perfection. Not too sweet or too heavy. Perfection in baking. Sometimes there’s a line but it moves quick. Not much seating but you can always eat in DuPont circle across the...
The best pistachio croissant I’ve ever had! Unlike other bakeries, their coffee is top-notch and pairs perfectly with the pastries. I was in D.C. for five days and was lucky enough that my hotel was nearby, so I got to visit three times!
Friendly staff, bad commercial grade stale burnt coffee (illy) at the price you’d expect from a specialty roaster - the pastries look better than they taste, everything just seems to lack flavor - it is one of those places that could be fantastic if they just used good coffee and tweaked some of their recipes as their stuffed croissants, it doesn’t matter what flavor you get they all taste like nothing
