Reserved a private room for a bday. The food they brought out was delicious. The mezcal and fig cocktail is one of the best drinks Ive ever had. Dusan took care of us he was very attentive and kept the whole big party satisfied.

Vera has completely won me over with their exceptional cuisine and inviting atmosphere. Let's talk about the branzino - it's an absolute game changer. Tender, flavorful, and simply to die for. If you visit Vera, make sure to try it - you won't regret it. And speaking of must-tries, their Dios Del Andes y Cedro cocktail is a personal favorite of mine. It's a delightful blend of flavors that truly impresses. And let's not forget about the guacamole - it's fresh, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Whether you're a seafood aficionado or simply looking for a fantastic dining experience, Vera is a must-visit destination. And the service is always amazing.

Walking into Vera, a Lebanese/ Mexican restaurant, was like entering a gastronomic wonderland where two distinct culinary traditions seamlessly intertwine. Our recent team dinner at Vera was nothing short of a revelation, delivering an unforgettable dining experience that left us utterly delighted. Will definitely be coming back!

Arak in a Hard Place - Best cocktail I’ve ever had!! Whether you’re a fan or Arak or not, trust me this will not disappoint! Also, food was delicious ?Update: celebrated my birthday here in the Ouda Comida and WOW this place never disappoints. From food to the vibe to the service everything was superb, 1000/10 recommend!! The staff were all so sweet, accommodating and gracious and made sure everyone was taken care off. Everyone messaged me the next day expressing what a wonderful time they had, which is all you can hope for when you bring 18 ppl out for a celebration. My favorite dishes were the branzino, octopus, humus, crab guac, labne, chicken, batata hara (yes i ordered all of that lol) and my fav drink hands down Arak in a hard place, which they made for me even though it wasn’t on the menu so if you haven’t been to Vera, what are you waiting for?

The ambiance is set in a way that transcends its location in DC. It can easily make you feel like you are on vacation. Lebanese/Mexican fusion is a combination I didn't know I needed. For that reason, the dishes are very unique and unlike anything I've had before. Everything was delicious including drinks. Our waiter was very educated on the development of the space and shared a lot about its history. I would definitely recommend.

Vera, Vera, Vera. I had this on my list for a while but didn't prioritize dining here like I should have. My review is for brunch, we were sat upstairs in a beautiful dining area, surrounded by cactus and splashes of vibrant colors that make this place extremely picturesque. Kicked off the morning with some impressive Baja California wine from their list, and then pivoted to their gin & tonic, which presentation wise, was spectacular. I'd say this place was on trek for 5 stars however, there was some serious concerns on the disconnect between the server and back of house regarding my allergies. If you have gluten allergies or are vegan, this place isn't really for you. They had to work really hard to find one option for me - the salad on the menu sans dressing. It was good, but upsetting given the multiple options I had identified that they "couldn't alter". The overall experience was great for everyone else at my table, but mine was a bit isolating when it came to the food. So, give it a shot, should you not have allergies! It's a vibe.

Vibes are immaculate! Started off with the shrimp fritters and hummus and they were SO good. Chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. Friends got the lamb birria and the branzino which were both also delicious. We decided to try all three desserts and came to conclusion that the churros were the best. Henry was our server and he was very knowledgeable and polite. Will definitely be coming back.

I could come to Vera Cocina just for the ambiance alone..that's how sexy Vera is! The lower level lounge grabs your attention immediately and it carries over to the top floor dining area. Beautifully designed with a bunch of greenery, Vera has somewhat of a cool jungle theme, and it works! Moving on to the food. The menu is unique! It's a nice mix between Latin and Middle Eastern cuisine. The crab guacamole, grilled octopus and grilled branzino were all delicious. It's hard to imagine ordering anything else, however, the menu had more intriguing items that I'm dying to try next time. Service was Excellent. Once our server realized he hadn't put in our appetizer order, he immediately let us know it would be comped! Classy touch and a true testament on how to run a successful business. That act of kindness alone would have garnered a return visit! Vera turns into a "night club" around 11ish. They wont rush you to leave but you will notice them moving tables as they become unoccupied to get ready for phase two! If you're looking for another quality restaurant in the NOMA/Union Market district, Vera Cocina is it.. you will NOT be disappointed!!

A fun night out! Started w drinks + apps/dinner and then at 11:30p the tables get cleared for some great dance music. The cocktails are a bit too sweet but be sure to order the Vamos Habibi shots!! Our server was also A+

I've been here countless amount of times. The food is delicious. Portions are great. I would say, start with 1 or 2 small plates first to share, and then get an entree. For drinks, they have all ranges and types of tequila. But I normally start with a carajillo (an espresso martini but their style and culture). The service there is impeccable. The manager, Melina, does such a great job making you feel like you're at home and being taken care of. Even when it's busy on a Friday night. And finally, the vibes here are to die for. This place is a hidden gem with its top-notch sound system. And on Friday and Saturday nights, they have DJs playing into the night after the kitchen closes. Come here for a date night, a night out with the boys, or just a drink.
