Good service and good quality food. Wish there were more Italian options for breakfast!

Head directly here and get the BUTTERNUT SQUASH VELOUTE. It's fantastic.

The piadina was really delightful and the tiramisu was great. The carbonara was a bit too al dente for me but overall would definitely return.

The service is attentive. The atmosphere is good although some tables may be very close. For me the problem is the food, and in some cases food/price. Some very small $17 entrees, and not to share, and not of great bill, octopus hidden under some leaves and small portion burrata. The pasta was ok, but difficult to distinguish the ingredients, everything chopped and mixed with the pasta, tasty but not for almost 30 dollars. The dessert was ok, especially the tiramisu, but a small portion ice cream flavor for $11 seemed crazy to us. One may be paying for the restaurant experience more than the taste of the food or portion size but on this occasion it seemed disproportionate.

It's a nice restaurant with great service. You can order half portion (for additional $2), so I ordered half of tajarin pasta and half chestnut fazzoletti pasta. I enjoyed it.

Great dinner. I loved listening to the WAPO reporters right before the pandemic there.

The food was not good. My wife got chicken marsala, but there was no marsala sauce. Hey Chef, marsala is all about the sauce. Also, it came with no pasta. Don't call it marsala. Say it's marsala inspired and call it something else. I got the carbanaro. Tiny pieces of shrimp and no bacon or pork. The pasta was good. The sauce was bland. Then we get the espresso gelato. Not what you think. A tiny bit of ice cream with hot espresso on top, so when it gets to you it's a soup. Hey chef wake up. Your food stinks.

Wow! I was expecting great things from this restaurant but it did not happen. My husband and I ordered a full sized pasta serving for each of us (1/2 size is available) and we were stunned at the skimpy serving that came out. So much so that my husband asked the waiter if it was the half sized portion. There was no bread offered, no salad, nothing else. We ordered a sorbet (11.00 for 2 scoops) and the bill was $85.00 for the pasta, sorbet and a glass of wine. We left (over $100.00 w/tip) still hungry, scratching our heads thinking “what the heck happened here!!”

Service is not good. Waiter didn’t come until 10 mins after being seated. Food quality was mixed. The calamari was burnt. The pizza was good. Drinks were good. But pricy. Atmosphere is nice.

Via Sophia, may be a hit spot for after-work drinks or a simple dinner, but the breakfast was deceptively awful from a first glance at the menu. The entire breakfast I ordered came out cold after a very, very long wait alongside other customers. The bacon tasted as if it had been run under water, also cold. And the service, well, no one checked on us once from the time we walked in to the time we got our check and left without a prompt. The 5-6 other tables around us were notably having the same experience. Do yourself a favor, even if you are a guest at The Hamilton Hotel, do not eat breakfast here. Save your time and money for a good local diner and explore the city.
