A Big thank you to Nomi the GM for making my nieces private dinner perfect!
Hostess super sweet and welcoming
Had an amazing dinner on the patio with our waitress Laura who guided us through an amazing experience on a special night out. Unfortunately, a manager Nomi was not much helpful to our server who became overwhelmed due to over-seating. I expect servers to be appreciated since they do their best to perform up to standard. Laura, thank you for your menu knowledge and welcoming energy. Will be back!

Absolutely loved Villa Yara DC!
This restaurant is a hidden gem in Georgetown—beautifully designed with a cozy yet upscale vibe. The courtyard is stunning, filled with natural light, plants, and artistic touches that transport you to the Mediterranean.
We tried a variety of dishes, including the Hummus Bil Lahme, Mouhamara, Lamb Chops, Shish Taouk, Yara’s Kafta, and more. Everything was flavorful, well-portioned, and beautifully presented. Even the plates were designed with Arabic calligraphy—such a thoughtful cultural detail!
A special shoutout to our waitress, Samaher, who was incredibly warm, attentive, and lovely throughout our entire meal. She made the experience even more enjoyable.
The atmosphere is lively but relaxing, perfect for groups or a date night. Prices are on the higher side, but well worth it for the experience, quality of food, and ambiance.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious Lebanese-Mediterranean cuisine in a beautiful setting. Will definitely be returning!

Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this place truly missed the mark on nearly every front. First off, there’s no parking or valet service, so I had to park more than half a mile away and walk—definitely not ideal, especially with kids in tow.
Speaking of kids, before even reaching our table, we had to walk past a loud bar at the entrance, where random couples were drinking and chatting—not exactly the family-friendly vibe we were hoping for.
Inside, things didn’t get much better. There was a DJ blasting loud, poorly mixed music, which made it hard to hear anyone at the table, let alone enjoy the meal. The atmosphere felt more like a noisy club than a sit-down restaurant.
After waiting a while and getting ready to order, we were informed that there is a $65 minimum charge per person just for sitting at the table, regardless of what you actually order. That felt incredibly unreasonable and should’ve been made clear upfront.
When the food finally arrived, it was barely warm, closer to cold, and the taste was underwhelming at best—maybe a 2 out of 5. To make things worse, servers randomly dropped entrees on the table without checking who ordered what, and when we politely asked for clarification, we were met with rudeness and defensiveness.
To make things even more uncomfortable, the servers began clearing the table while we were still sitting, leaning over us and squeezing between our shoulders to grab plates. I asked them to wait until we were leave, but they ignored the request entirely. It felt rushed and intrusive.
On top of everything, the restaurant does not split checks, and I ended up footing an $845 bill (excluding tax and tip), then had to awkwardly ask my guests to reimburse me afterward. It was both inconvenient and embarrassing.
In short, this place has a pretentious vibe with none of the quality or service to back it up. I wouldn’t recommend it—definitely not worth the hassle or the price.I won’t be going back.
This place is the best. We're out-of-town visitors, and we rarely go to the same place twice since we like to try out different things, but the top rate food and service made us return customers. Everything is delicious on the menu here. Be sure to try the arak, a traditional Lebanese anise-based drink.
This is such a cute restaurant in Georgetown. There is outdoor seating in front of the restaurant and also in the back courtyard. It has cute decor and really nice aesthetics.
You can come and dine with your dog in the front outdoor seating area.
The combination grill plate is plenty for 2-3 people to share. It comes with chicken kabob, grilled ground beef and grilled lamb with some dipping sauce.
The chicken kebab is so tender and juicy. The lamb kabab is also very flavorful. High recommend both.
They also have nice bread with a tasty olive with nuts dipping sauce. So delicious! We will be back to try other menu items!
Overall I give Villa Yara a 3.7/5. To be quite frank, for a beautiful spot in D.C. it has a lot more potential. We ordered Sayyadieh, Hummus, Fattoush, Kibbee Nayee, Kefta, Shish Taouk, and fries. The first dish that was brought out was the Sayyadieh. I also didn’t appreciate the fact that these items came in random orders. Apps come out first then main dishes. The fried onions were extremely stale, the rice and fish were old, and you could tell this dish was just lying around waiting to be ordered. Disappointing. The Kibbee Nayee, Hummus, and Fattoush were amazing. Nothing short of flavor and extremely fresh. The meats were also really good, but for the hefty price tag, the portions were a bit ridiculous lol. It’s also not big party friendly. If you want to order hummus you’d definitely have to order around 4-5 plates for a group of 7 or more. That’s how small the plate is. Now on to the bread. Also another disappointment. Pita bread is supposed to be fluffy, tasty, and fresh. The pita bread was flat, not fresh, and pretty flavorless.
Also, this is a Lebanese restaurant. Why is the radio being played? Why not feed the ambiance of the beautiful Arabic culture and play Fariouz or Oum Kalthoum? Didn’t make sense to me.
The waiters/waitress that we had were wonderful and attentive. Kept asking us what we need and tried to make it as spacious and comfortable as possible.
I love it

Villa yara is one of the best restaurants in DC , excellent entertainment, friendly service and atmosphere, great menu options, delicious food with great flavor, the only thing I don’t like is stuffed grape leaves I’m sure they will make it better if they just bring this bring this review to the chef attention , finally I have to say Villa Yara is the best of the best.
The hostess at the entry was not friendly bad attitude
The food was the delicious, even though the pork skewers were a little salty. The service was excellent, and we ate just about everything! 😋
