I booked this place for my parents wedding anniversary and the staff was very accommodating to my requests. I was very happy to hear that my parents enjoyed the service, ambiance, and loved the food!
The food, location, and decor were fantastic—but the service was absolutely horrible. A group of four of us met for a buffet-style brunch. I had confirmed in advance that we could receive individual bills, which was important for our group because we were meeting for the first time. Despite having a reservation, we waited an hour to be seated. Once seated at 2:30 PM (their last seating time), I double-checked with the manager that the buffet would be replenished until 4:15–4:30 PM, and he confirmed this. Our waiter took our drink order—bottomless mimosas—and poured us one glass each, then never returned for a refill. Even worse, he gave us a single 16oz glass of pineapple juice to share between the two of us for our mimosas. Many of the buffet items on the first floor were not replenished, and we had to go upstairs to find more food. Despite confirming again with our waiter that we wanted separate bills, he returned with just one. When I repeated the request, he simply left the bill on the table and walked away. I had to speak to the manager, who initially said they only accommodate three bills per table—something that directly contradicted what I was told when I made the reservation. After some discussion, the waiter eventually returned with individual bills. My bill included the $30 charge for bottomless mimosas, which I paid—even though I only received one glass—simply because I was too frustrated to argue further. Overall, the service was extremely disappointing. If you plan to go, make sure to book an early reservation, as the quality of service seems to decline significantly later in the day.
We had a lovely experience!!! I celebrated my birthday. The food was outstanding the service even better... My only concern was the air conditioning. It was quite warm in there. Sara provided excellent customer service she deserves special recognition!!!!!
My birthday celebration at Limani was a mixed bag. While the food and customer service were undeniably excellent, and the ambiance was lovely, the overall experience was severely overshadowed by the pressure to vacate our table. We were unfortunately rushed out after what felt like a pre-determined two-hour window, despite having a reservation. This "get 'em in, get 'em out" mentality was incredibly nerve-wracking and made us feel less like valued customers and more like a line of cattle being herded through. For a restaurant with such a high price point, this kind of limitation on dining time is simply unacceptable and genuinely frustrating. It's a shame, as the quality of the food and service deserved a more leisurely and enjoyable setting.
The service and ambiance was great, but the seafood was overcooked, especially the lobster tails. Additionally, the music was loud and not the right choice for what I thought should be a relaxed and exquisite setting. Lastly, the 4% additional fee for expenses is something that the owners should incur or raise the prices by 2% and take 2% less of a profit. Great IG photo ops, but if you really appreciate and recognize GREAT seafood, stay away
I am absolutely in love with Limani! This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I went for a birthday brunch with friends. Everyone was genuinely impressed by the food quality and the excellent service we received. I can't wait to return and try their dinner menu, as I'm sure it will be just as amazing as their brunch was. -Daysi
The PH level seating is outside which we didn't realize. Keep that in mind if you don't want to eat in a sauna. The outdoor seating has a lovely view of the tidal basin and boats parked at the Wharf. They have a cooling fan which was somewhat helpful. Food was good but not amazing, we tried a bunch of appetizers and sides rather than ordering a big entre. Saganaki cheese is not flaming so keep that in mind if you are a big fan of flaming cheese. The side order of fries could have been a little crispier. Hummus and dips were yummy. Mushrooms were delicious, meaty and tender. Calamari was good, not rubbery. Brussels sprouts were excellent.
Ali was a great server! Food was amazing! Relaxing lunch, restaurant was quiet - it was a great time of day for catching up with a friend!
The place was amazing. We ordered the Branzino whole fish cooked wrapped in salt for the table, along with some sides and dessert. We especially liked the fish, Brussel sprouts, spanikopita and orange cake. We enjoyed the show of deboning and plating the fish table-side. Others watched and ended up ordering the same thing. Madison, one of the managers, took exceptional care of us. We were scheduled to come on a day it stormed and the restaurant reached out and rescheduled us so we didn't have to go out in the storm. We visited several good restaurants in DC during our visit, but this was the best. We will be back!
Great food. Good vibes. Worth the $$ especially for the amount of seafood options. I will be back.

I had a wonderful experience dining at Limani. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The food was very delicious and tasty. Limani truly exceeded my expectations!
Spent Fourth of July here in the penthouse dining area and it was lovely. View of the Waterfront fireworks was amazing. Food is delicious. Definitely paying for the view though as prices are steep.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Limani for their brunch, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a fantastic meal. The brunch spread at Limani was truly impressive. They had a wide variety of options, ranging from fresh lobster and succulent oysters to delectable shrimp and grits. It was a seafood lover's dream come true! The quality of the seafood was exceptional, and each dish was prepared with great attention to detail. One of the highlights of the brunch was the made-to-order station, where I could customize my own french toast and omelettes. The chefs were skilled and accommodating, ensuring that every dish was cooked to perfection. However, what truly stole the show for me were the baklava pancakes. The combination of the fluffiness of the pancakes with the sweet and nutty flavors of baklava was simply divine. It was a unique twist on a classic breakfast item that left me craving for more. To complement the scrumptious food, Limani offered bottomless mimosas, which were a true delight. Served in elegant glasses, the mimosas were perfectly balanced and refreshing. They added an extra touch of indulgence to the already incredible brunch experience. Overall, I would highly recommend Limani for brunch. The quality of the food, the friendly staff, and the inviting ambiance all contributed to a memorable dining experience. I can't wait to visit again and explore more of their menu. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or simply looking for a delicious brunch, Limani is definitely a place worth trying.
Everything was great! The service, ambience and food were all on point.. The only thing I would change is that all red meat was cooked well done. Everyone doesn't like well done. So that was disappointing.. and the champagne used for the mimosas was extremely dry.. a semi sweet would've been a better option for me . Overall though, Limani was a wonderful experience!
