I recently had the pleasure of dining at Limani for their brunch, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a fantastic meal. The brunch spread at Limani was truly impressive. They had a wide variety of options, ranging from fresh lobster and succulent oysters to delectable shrimp and grits. It was a seafood lover's dream come true! The quality of the seafood was exceptional, and each dish was prepared with great attention to detail. One of the highlights of the brunch was the made-to-order station, where I could customize my own french toast and omelettes. The chefs were skilled and accommodating, ensuring that every dish was cooked to perfection. However, what truly stole the show for me were the baklava pancakes. The combination of the fluffiness of the pancakes with the sweet and nutty flavors of baklava was simply divine. It was a unique twist on a classic breakfast item that left me craving for more. To complement the scrumptious food, Limani offered bottomless mimosas, which were a true delight. Served in elegant glasses, the mimosas were perfectly balanced and refreshing. They added an extra touch of indulgence to the already incredible brunch experience. Overall, I would highly recommend Limani for brunch. The quality of the food, the friendly staff, and the inviting ambiance all contributed to a memorable dining experience. I can't wait to visit again and explore more of their menu. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or simply looking for a delicious brunch, Limani is definitely a place worth trying.
Everything was great! The service, ambience and food were all on point.. The only thing I would change is that all red meat was cooked well done. Everyone doesn't like well done. So that was disappointing.. and the champagne used for the mimosas was extremely dry.. a semi sweet would've been a better option for me . Overall though, Limani was a wonderful experience!
The place was absolutely gorgeous, from the floor to the decor, the views outside of the restaurant were absolutely stunning, the food were amazing, the waiter was absolutely fantastic, the only issue was having to go upstairs to the second floor to grab the buffet style food, other than that, everything was phenomenal. Would definitely be back.
I recently went to Limani afree seeing their viral video on social media and the buffet was really enjoyable. The half lobster tails were delicious, although I was hoping for a warmed option, the chilled preparation was still nice. I was a bit disappointed to find only snow crab claws rather than full legs, but they still got the job done. They certainly didn't hold back on the champagne, which paired perfectly with the waterfront views. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience with a some friends. There were a few small surprises, but I'd definitely return!
The food was amazing, but we had a disappointing experience with the captain service. As out-of-towners, we had some questions about the menu, but the captain was neither kind nor helpful. It took a long time for him to check in and take our order. While the staff handling our drink orders were attentive, the captain came off as dismissive. To top it off, we waited 25 minutes for our check after asking, and had to request it again before it was brought over.
This restaurant has so much potential. Their service needs a lot of work. The “Captain” was the only person who knew what they were doing. We were kept asking if we were done and could they take away our plates while we were eating. This happened multiple times throughout our meal. Fried calamari and the large Lima beans are amazingly delicious. However everything else we had was either too salty or worse, our fish was overcooked and was tough. Also what's up with the super bright fluorescent lights? It's like dining with hospital level lighting.
The salads and other appetizers were excellent! And the bread is fresh and warm. I'd be inclined to just order an assortment of the appetizers to share for dinner. The chicken entree was dry and the crab cake on the small side. The servers do their best to be attentive but have to work a bit on coordination and timing.
I had an absolutely spectacular dining experience at Limani! From start to finish, every aspect exceeded my expectations. The food was exceptional – each dish was thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. The service was equally impressive, with the staff attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure every detail was taken care of seamlessly. The ambiance truly elevates the entire experience; the waterfront views, stylish décor, and lively yet relaxed atmosphere make for a perfect setting. If you're looking for a memorable meal (it was my birthday) that combines great cuisine, top-notch service, and an gorgeous view in a trendy location, this is the place to be! Highly recommended!
First, the restaurant was very accomodating in allowing last minute changes to our party. We were there to celebrate my sister's birthday on Saturday, 9/28 for dinner. Our Server Carlos was absolutely phenomenal. It was also his birthday! The food took a very long time to come out which was the only thing that I would say was not pleasant about our experience. Long time for drinks, long time for appetizers and the main course. The Branzino and Brussel Sprouts were absolutely fantastic. I would definitely return for a day time view for brunch. Overall, it was a good evening
I tell everyone who comes to the Wharf that Limani is the most beautiful restaurant in D.C. The decor, the layout, and views are superior. I've been to brunch twice and I love the seafood display and the salads. The carved meat stations have been well-seasoned, but well done temp. The service is good, but they need to lower the shades when the sun beats down. We had to ask each time. Finally, the first time I went for brunch there was a buffet on the first level and the second level. This time, everything was on the second level. I think it is very unsafe to require customers to navigate the stairs with full plates. Just sayin'.

Everything about the dining experience was amazing. In addition, the service remarkable, and I have never engaged with a business that made me feel as valued as the service staff did.
The food was better than advertised! The Sunday Brunch!!! Best ever! The Lobster and Shrimp tower, fabulous! The Oyster mound, fanatic! The various meats, pasta, rice, carving station, the Shrimp and Grits (Sourhern Grits!!!) AMAZING!!! Now if the hostesses servers would up their game, this would be an easy 10!!!!
Nice place. Good ambience. Great presentation. I may not have a fancy taste pallet but you could not pay me to eat here again. Maybe I would come for the bar. Then again. As someone who's afghan. Greek/Mediterranean food has always been very bland to me. Villa Yarda in Georgetown has way better lamb. Pasta was lacking in flavor. Just plain tomato sauce. Lamb was gamey and for medium still not tender. Vegetables that came with lamb were bland. Steamed in water.
Limani is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service and a huge price tag. We enjoyed the octopus, lightly fried zucchini &eggplant, scallops. I would order all of them again. The table bread and olive oil were delicious. We liked the swordfish, but...Next time, I'll skip the entree for more appetizers. We had champagne and a bottle of red wine, both had a huge price market up.
The food was good! However, the service was slow. It definitely felt like the chefs/staff would only check in on the tables that got lots of dishes or drinks and favored certain tables over others. We came to celebrate a birthday but it was just okay. I think we spent just as much time trying to get someone to come to our table as we did eating our meal. Overall, it was an okay experience but we probably will not return.
