My family and I were on vacation and during our traversing Dewey beach we found this ice cream ship after dinner one day. What a fantastic treat!!! The ice cream was absolutely delicious and the staff extremely friendly! Just be prepared to possibly wait in line due to this being an awesome place to visit. We highly recommend Vanderwendes for a tasty treat !!!?
Great little nook for location. Bright, cheery and clean. Line moves quickly, free tastings , but not much to offer for seating...you exit onto customers who are sitting outside enjoying their selection and parking is a BiG problem unless you walk. Huge selection of flavors. We got coffee...and it tasted like creamy coffee ice cream. I was looking forward to "hard" scooped ice cream but our scoop was very much like soft serve and with ice chips

I'm bummed after a disappointing visit here tonight and after being such a longtime fan. I understand that not everyone takes covid seriously, and I really appreciate the employees wearing masks, but it's disappointing to see your food served on a counter where a female customer is not wearing a mask and having an animated conversation with employees OVER YOUR ICE CREAM AS IT IS BEING SERVED. Not fun.
