“My husband and I ate here for the first time on Saturday and everything was such a great experience. Our waitress Crystal was very pleasant and attended to our needs the entire time we were there. “This is our go-to place for Mexican takeout in Kennett Square. We regularly get the special meat burrito with lomo (seasoned shredded pork), burrito with asada, and chicken quesadilla. The huaraches and enchiladas are also really good. All meals come with a ton of food. They give you little hot sauce containers and limes to go with your meal. There’s a small eating area where you often find people dining, but we typically to takeout because we order during the week and the food travels well. They’re always really quick when we call; about 15 minutes and the food is ready.

The owner is almost always the one who answers the phone and greets you when you come in. You can tell that he cares about his restaurant and making his customers happy, and you can feel good that you’re supporting a small local business, not a big chain. (If you happen to be helped by someone other than the owner, like a moody teen, don’t let it put you off).

The prices are reasonable, especially considering how much food you get.

One note: PAY CASH or you’ll be charged a credit card fee that they don’t even tell you about. This is the one complaint I have about this place. I know that many businesses are now doing this, but there are no signs in the restaurant warning of this fee and if you tell them you’re paying by card, they type a higher amount into the credit card machine without telling you.

The small parking lot could definitely be repaved and the building looks a little iffy in its lighting and placement among car repair shops and an apartment construction site, but it all adds to the feeling that you’ve found a hidden gem.

Parking: Not too many spots, but I’ve never found it totally full. Pavement is bumpy with lots of holes.“

“Moved back to Wilmington to find this GEM of a restaurant in my neighborhood. The best street tacos and Mexican food in general. My daughter - the fussiest eater - loves the quesadillas and eats everything on her plate. The Mango Margaritas- wowza!!!! The people are so nice - great service. “Ate here several times and have enjoyed the food. Though since opening....service at tables seems a bit slow here and there. Can't review alcoholic drinks because I don't drink.Recently I ordered pick up. Upon the return time they gave me... It took about a 20 minute wait for someone to come to the front to assist me with my pick up . They gave me a receipt but not my debit card back. Partly my fault to realize this.....but their fault too...this is the 2nd time that happened to me at pick up.. I think maybe a bell would work at the front desk to get someone's attention.i even stood at the bar for 5 minutes but no one came out.for awhile.. all in all I will probably return here be a use thw food I've had has been delicious each time....I recommend the shrimp quesidilas and I love their rice. However I think that their customer service really needs attention. They gave me a menu. I ordered pick up and they said 15 to 20 minutes....once arriving to pick up I waited about 15 to 20 minutes for someone e to come to the front to get the food.“

“I have enjoyed many products from Taste of Puebla over the years as they come to my local farmers market. Recently I tried 2 new products - the jalapeño poppers and the queso. Both are quite tasty. The poppers fried up well and are full of flavor. The queso is creamy and not too salty. it's great as a dip or on nachos. I highly recommend both!“
