I happened upon this establishment a few weeks ago while waiting to take the long drive to EWR. I stopped in, perused the menu, and decided upon lamb chops with the non spicy house sauce, Mac n cheese, and candied yams. The food was one word…FANTASTIC! The service by the bartender (I decided to sit at the bar) was wonderful; the lady spoke to me as tho we’d known each other for years! She was very gracious. FIRE! For me, everything hit. I got the fried catfish platter and it was ALL THAT. The seasoning on the cat fish was real nice and the fry on it was perfect. Crisp, not greasy and tender cat fish under the batter. The mac n' cheese was flavorful: baked well and thick. The greens: tender but not soggy n' wilted or full of stems. Definitely one of the best places in Delaware to get you a home cooked meal. The small drawback to this is that there are usually long wait times for your food. But for me it's worth it.
