I called Bing’s when I needed to order a cake for my baptism. I needed to have the best cake that I could possibly get in New Castle County so I immediately called the company that is notorious for a legacy of wonderful creations. Bing’’s once again, hit the ball out of the park… Actually, they hit the ball out of the stratosphere! The cake was beautiful. I ordered the pound cake, which was both wonderfully heavy and light at the same time. It wasn’t too sweet or not sweet enough. It was just perfect! A work of Art! Every time I think of my baptism, I’ll think of my Bing’s cake! Thank you. ❤️🍰

Bing's did an outstanding job working with me to make a cake for my nieces baby shower. And when I needed to change the order from a full sheet cake to 1/2 sheet it was no problem. We had a marble cake with raspberry filling and buttercream icing.

I really wanted to like this place. I am from out of town so I searched up a couple of bakeries in the area and saw this place had amazing reviews. The lady was so helpful when I placed my order over 5 weeks in advance for my engagement party. I told her I wanted a chocolate ganache and raspberry filling for my cake which she recommended me to get chocolate fudge instead. Fast forward to the day it needed to be picked up, there was no writing on the cake which we called two weeks in advance to add on. Kindly, they did it for us on the spot. We had the cake 3-4 hours upon picking it up, super dry and no raspberry filling. I then called the bakery Monday bc they were closed the previous day and night to voice my complaint. They had a worker going back and forth between the manager and him. The worker told me that they wouldn’t have been able to do the 2 fillings on the cake I had ordered! Jeez, wish that was told to me advance while ordering. They told me I had to bring a piece of the cake in to test for accuracy. $225 on a cake for it not to be the way I asked is absurd. It’s been 3 days since we called and the manager is “supposed” to call us back. So unprofessional, if my messages don’t get your attention through the phone it sure will here!

I love the service and bakery food here. A good selection of pastries and cakes, cookies and the like. There's something for everyone. The parking lot is not big but it's free otherwise you can pay Newark to park in the front of the store. Quick service too. I recommend this bakery when you have the urge for something fresh and sweet.

Every time I’ve ordered a cake here, it’s been effortless—place the order, pick it up, and it’s perfect. Not just “good enough,” but spot-on: exactly what I envisioned, beautiful to look at, and even better to taste.
But what really sets Bing’s apart isn’t just their skill in the kitchen or the clean space—it’s the way they treat people. Every interaction I’ve had, no matter who I speak with, has left me feeling respected, welcomed, and cared for. That level of consistency in customer service is rare, and it never goes unnoticed.
A recent situation really showed me what kind of business this is. I had ordered two cakes, but ended up sick and had to cancel one. Then, an emergency kept me from picking up the other. Instead of brushing it off, Bing’s followed up several times to make sure I was okay and to see if I still wanted the cake. In the end, they refunded me, even though I fully expected to pay; and honestly would have gladly done so, knowing it was my responsibility. That gesture spoke volumes. It wasn’t just about money; it was about compassion, care, and integrity.
Bing’s isn’t just a bakery. They’re a business built on pride, kindness, and respect. And judging by the way their team carries themselves, I’d bet they take care of their employees just as well as they take care of their customers.

Bing's is a step back in time. My in-laws have turned to Bing's for 4 generations and we still love to stop in for cookies when we're in town. The current owners have honored the rich history, kept the timeless decor intact, and still serve the best sweets in Newark!
