Delaware Seashore - South Inlet Big Chill Beach Club

Drinks were good. Food is overpriced. Basic frozen fries. A $20 burger should be better than 2 thin patties thrown on a regular bun. Nachos were soggy and again overpriced for not including any meat. Limited kids menu (only 3 options) which was supposed to include fruit, but they were “out.” $10 for a hot dog and fries.

I come here sometimes for the view and because it’s close to the beach house I stay at. Usually sit by the outdoor bar with view of ocean and order something different every time (because whatever I get is never good lol). Came here today and was told that this bar was closed and that I could only sit in the crowded enclosed bar in the middle of the deck with no ocean view or water view. When I complained they offered small table facing parking lot. To be clear, I don’t come here for the food… food is overpriced and never very good. Decided to leave and go somewhere else instead. Probably won’t be back.

If you want a Great visual Beachfront Experience …The Big Chill Beach Club is the place go. However the Food did not match the scenic views.
The food was bland and under seasoned…except for the Coconut Shrimp.
Service is good for being a place that popular.

It’s a beach bar in a great location

We pass through the area most years and this time decided to check out the Big Chill. Located at Delaware seashore State Park the elevated restaurant/bar has commanding views of the ocean, inlet and bridge.

There are multiple seating options here. The bar, there’s tables out on the deck outside the bar and then there’s an open air covered dining area that would provide some cover from the rain it happened. And the ground level, there’s bathrooms, fire pit area, and a place to play cornhole.

We sat at one of the high tops in the round bar area upstairs with a view of the bridge. Riley our server was cordial and prompt.

Table spacing throughout is good. The seating is somewhat comfortable and the music was not so overbearing that we couldn’t have a conversation.

We ordered the Painkilla and Grapefruit Smash for drinks. Crab dip with tortilla chips for an appetizer. Everything tasted good.

Overall a relaxing spot for end of day beverage.

Food was delicious and the view doesn't get any better. You can hang out at the bar having a drink while enjoying watching the ocean! You do need to pay to get in the Park, but if you make it a day of enjoying the beach, it's not bad at all. The only thing is that since it's a State Park, they do close early, by 9 PM if I'm not mistaken. But still, in my opinion, it's worth the visit!

Parking: State Park, you need to pay to get in, and then just look for a parking space. People use the same parking lot for the beach, fishing and the restaurant.

The atmosphere is great. Is situated in a Delaware seashore state park. There are multiple outdoor dining areas and bars, on multiple floors,surrounded by water view He had a very cheerful friendly server It was very good. Five of us were here for drinks and appetizers. Man the nachos, someone else said calamari and another had coconut shrimp. Two others got the macaroni and cheese. Macaroni and cheese had no flavor and they were disappointed. The rest of us enjoyed what we had and thought it was from good to very good. The cocktails were good, the neer was cold and it was a watm sunny day. The place was crowded, bustling, and everybody there seemed to be enjoying themselves. There's plenty of parking but you have to pay to enter because the restaurant is inside a state park.

Parking: Actually, the parking is free. What you're paying for is to get inside the state park.

We enjoyed visiting for the first time after we'd heard so many wonderful things. The shrimp wrap and burger were great! We loved sitting at the bar with the fun bartender and taking in the terrific views all around us.

Always great! The food was awesome, service was great and an amazing view!

My family and I have never been treated so rudely and disrespectfully as this past weekend at the Big Chill by Liz an actual manager! Not only was she rude to us we witnessed her yelling and embarrassing coworkers! I have contacted them regarding the issue. I realize it was a busy weekend, however you can say anything to anybody as long as it is done with kindness and respect.

Had a cocktail and beer in the upstairs outdoor bar. Bartenders were kind and prompt. It was so nice with the wind blowing through which was a nice little reprieve from the heat on the beach.
