Had a cocktail and beer in the upstairs outdoor bar. Bartenders were kind and prompt. It was so nice with the wind blowing through which was a nice little reprieve from the heat on the beach.

I eat here every year when I am here on vacation. Up until this visit, I have loved this place. However, the food and service were horrible. All of the food (hot and cold) came out the same temperature (room temperature). The waitstaff was not helpful...did not offer refills, only replaced some of the food that was inappropriate temperature, and did not check in with us on the quality of the food.

This was just a day trip for us. We arrived around 9:30am and the beach was pretty packed. Although it looked packed we didn’t have issues finding a spot, by 1pm a bunch of spots opened up closer to the ocean, so we moved up. The beach is nice and wide so it really wasn’t too bad finding a spot to sit to begin with. The ocean was pretty rough that day but my kids enjoyed it. The beach is a little more sloped as you walked in. It’s not a good boogie board beach or maybe it was just the day we were there. The waves would come in and crash straight down, (hence it’s sloped down to walk in) verses the waves crashing and rolling up further to be able to ride them out. Again my kids are older so they were okay with putting the boogie boards away and grabbing a football instead. We ate at the beach grill. Beautiful views and good food/drinks. This beach does have bathrooms & showers. There are not a lot of them so be prepared to wait if it’s a busy day. Cape Henelope definitely has more showers & bathrooms than here. And we felt they are cleaner than the ones here as well. Ample parking throughout the day. Overall it’s a very nice beach for a day trip. We will definitely come back to this one again after exploring and trying out a couple other location’s first.

Would be 4 star but, our waitresses was rarely around. Had to wave her to the table. Socializing is what seems more important anymore. But, still nice layout for a first timer. Wont stop me from trying again!

We stumbled across the park as we were exploring the area. What began as a restroom break turned into a mini visit as we walked around the area enjoying the views. Had we been hungry, we would have enjoyed eating at the restaurant there.

This was a great place for 7 of us to hang out outside overlooking the beach. The appetizers, drinks and meals were delicious.
Great experience at Big Chill Beach club on this beautiful day. Super service with a smile by Sam. Drinks and food were spot on! Highly recommend the corn dip and coconut shrimp.

We booked this site last minute after very little research. Here’s the facts: Positives 1. Super close to the water. You will have ample opportunity to witness breath-taking sunrises and sunsets. 2. Close to Rehoboth or Bethany Beach for dinner, treats, and boardwalk. 3. Sites are large enough for 12 person cabin tent, clam, and minivan. 4. Gorgeous breeze that blows consistently. 5. Playground is huge and lots of space for kids to safely play and stretch out. 6. Fire pit for use. 7. Awesome paved trails that go right out to the beach. 8. The bridge looks cool at night. 9. Around 3am when everyone has gone to sleep and there is no highway traffic you will be able to hear the waves crashing. 10. The beach is awesome. Doesn’t get overcrowded and the other beach goers and considerate. Negatives 1. You will be right next to the next tent over on all sides. You will smell their weed and listen to their arguments while your four children try and go to sleep. Your other neighbor’s child will try to climb in your car and will ask you for food. 2. The women's bathrooms were out of toilet paper and 1 of the 4 showers was working. Men’s bathrooms one urinal was literally over flowing with urine. Showers all worked. 3. You will hear traffic through the night. Kids may trip over your tie downs while you try to fall asleep. 4. Bring aftermarket railway tie grade tent stakes, a sledgehammer, and John Henry. This ground is super hard and you will need them because the wind rarely let’s up.
