Not afraid to bring out-of-town guests here. The fish was incredibly fresh, no hint of freezer. The kitchen has a real handle on seasoning. There's live music some evenings that really fits. A place we'll keep coming back to.
THIS FOOD IS TERRIBLE DONT ORDER FROM HERE

I have actually never had their food but I live on the same block. The music is horrible. Bass through my walls for hours straight. I have an autistic adult in my home and guess who has to handle their overstimulation because you have zero respect for people who LIVE on the street. I’m sure if I blasted music the way y’all did next to your backyard while your kids were trying to nap it’d be a huge problem. Based on reviews you’re already not the best in town so why ruin your reputation even more with blatant disregard for those around you? Try to think of others for once.

Terrible customer service. I came there after spending the day at the Senate in Washington DC and was looking for something decent to eat. I stepped a foot in the door and saw the menu was right there with some other marketing material. I grabbed the menu and a lady there asked me what I wanted. I told her I don’t know just yet I will have to look and see and she instantly cut me off and said how she is asking me what I want so I guess she can basically tell me whether or not she has it or something she was mumbling. Something told me right then she don’t want my money and to let me let her continue sweeping the floor and take my money elsewhere, so I’ll quickly turned right around went out the door with a menu and went to my car and went to another restaurant. This is not the first time I have received some sort of snippy attitude from this establishment. I had not been here in close to a year and even when I came then the person seemed the best snippy well I was very cheerful because I love eating Caribbean food and I don’t live near this location at all. I live down state. So I will not be spending any more of my money here. I used to recommend people to come to this restaurant, I won’t be doing that anymore. Whenever I want Caribbean food, I will save my money for a spot or two in Maryland or when I’m in New York in Florida and call it a day. I left a comment on one of their posts about my last visit and all they did was delete it. A friend of mine told me he saw the comment and has had similar issues there before. I’m very active in the Caribbean community as well as Delaware Caribbean Carnival. This type of behavior is part of the reason why we can’t get ahead in the Caribbean community here in the state. I will not support a brand just because they’re Caribbean. Respect the community and you’ll earn respect as well.
The cabbage was old/expired/rotten and ruined the entire platter X2. Store refused to rectify. Don't eat here🤮

This place is pretty nice. People are cool and usually polite. I've been to this place several times and the food has always been good. However, this time, the food was cold, the fish, usually my favorite, was under cooked, plantains dry as cardboard. The worst experience ever! The yams? Absolutely nasty! This was enough to keep me from going back ever again. It was like they took food that someone didn't pick up or had been sitting out and gave it to me. I honestly want a refund.

I actually did not eat at this restaurant. I went and the music was so loud that I could not talk to the person behind the desk. I tried to signal the problem but she just ignored it. Also I saw signs that it wasn't the cleanest of places. So maybe it was a good thing I didn't get any food.

I ordered fried red snapper rice, and beans and cabbage. The fish was raw in the middle. I took it back and they said no it was cooked, but you can clearly see that it was raw. I would never order from there again instead of trying to fix the problem. They had an attitude.
