We tried Kid Shelleens based on the great reviews. The service and staff were great. They have a great outdoor area, and it's a lot bigger inside than it looks. We were sat in the back room, where it's very dark with no windows and unfortunately, the drinks and food were just ok. With all of the options in Wilmington, the great staff isn't enough of a reason to go back to Kid Shelleens.

I had family from Tennessee pass through the area and I decided to go to this restaurant. I chose the pulled pork, loved it. My family enjoyed the atmosphere and food.

We have been coming to Kids for years. So disappointed tonight. I don't know what was going on. Food and drinks took at least 40 minutes to get to the table. There were quite a few empty tables so maybe staffing is a problem. Food was not as good as usual. The cheese on my burger was already hardened. Nachos were mediocre at best but the haddock was very good. We used to count on the consistency of the food it just wasn't there tonight.

I turned into a windmill. They sat me
next to a door that was constantly being opened to the outside world and it blasted cold air at me.

They also tried to charge me $29.99 for this “lobster” roll (and I use that term loosely). You can’t in good conscience tell me that this coleslaw concoction is more than 5% lobster. It’s potato chips and coleslaw on a tiny hot dog bread.

The burgers are solid.

Staff was nice but the food was underwhelming. Cheddar bits, wings, and Korean bbq chicken sandwich all lacked flavor. Tasted like the nor meat was seasoned. The chicken items also had a slight rubbery texture between the teeth. The best thing we ordered was calamari. Quite a bummer with so many high reviews. Brother my husband nor myself finished our entrees. $80 to be underwhelmed.

Fantastic food at a very affordable price point. I've been here a couple of times since my first stay in 2008. Really love this place.
