Amazing cocktails in a lovely space. Looks like a perfect date night spot or after work drinks. Already planning my next visit.
I was wanting to check Merchant bar out. I liked the vibe but the noise level was off the charts. Waited almost an hour for a drink. Food was average. Drink menu was great.
Food is great but unfortunately not enough servers (existing servers are good). Noise level consistent with other reviews. Reserved a table for 4 but it was actually 4 window seats so not ideal for conversation.
Food was good and service was friendly. Didn't catch our server's name but she did a great job.
Really solid food and some excellent cocktails. Kudos to Lindsey for friendly and attentive service and great recommendations, even with a full house. Highly recommend the Sazerac and Cardi Basil. Will be back!
As always, wonderful food and service. It was a bit louder tonight than the other times we've been there, so it made it a bit harder to hear. Will always keep coming back this is one of our top Wilmington Restaurants.
Great place, good food for the price, and they can make most cocktails i like.

The overall experience was quite positive. There was a large party when we visited, which caused a delay in the waitress taking our order. However, the food was excellent, with the beet salad standing out as a highlight. The drinks were also fantastic!

The overall experience was great. There was a big party when we went. So it took a very long time for the waitress to come and take our order. The drinks were awesome and food was delicious.
Service was so slow even though a good number of people were clearly there pre-show/theater and had to be out at a certain time. Food was good fortunately and drinks were well made. Maybe just a bad night for the servers and kitchen staff.
It was so unbelievably loud that I had to leave after about an hour. Fortunately, there's a great little independent bookstore across the street so I stayed there until my dinner companions joined me. they would have left more quickly too but had to wait to get the check. I understand that the current attitude is that it's not enough just go go out and have fun with your friends--the whole world has to KNOW that you're there having fun, so you post pictures on social media and shriek with joy when you're together. but it can be hard on the rest of us.
Service was slow at the beginning as it took quite a while for the server to take our order. After that, things moved along smoothly. The food was tasty and well-presented. The restaurant is quite noisy with lots of echos. We were there during the end of happy hour which may have contributed to the noise level. It did make it hard to carry on a conversation. It was Restraunt Week so they had a special of 3 courses for $35. There were 3 options for each course. The quantity of food was appropriate - not huge as at some places.
I went during Brandywine restaurant week in the early evening and it was pretty chill and not crowded. The food was pretty good, I had an heirloom tomato salad, tempura fish tacos and chocolate cake. I also had a drink, blackberry sour, which was tasty but could've had more kick to it, I barely tasted any alcohol. Overall, I enjoyed it and would likely return for their happy hour.
