This place has a cozy atmosphere and exceptionally friendly service. The food was amazing and the warmth and hospitality of our server was so incredible that I think I’ll come back here anytime I’m in Wilmington

We were in Wilmington for my son’s lacrosse event and stopped at Scalessa’s, what a find! Aaron gave us amazing service and made us feel right at home. The chopped antipasti salad was fresh and flavorful, my son loved his chicken parm, and Grandma’s Sunday Gravy was next level, true home-style Italian cooking. We’ll definitely be back!

Both times I have had the pleasure of getting food from this restaurant, I have been blown away. I have gotten the chicken Scalessa and it is so good! Chicken is well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sauce is savory, the crab is fresh. The gnocchi are light and fluffy. Their meatballs are little balls of heaven, and their cheesesteaks are stuffed with so much meat. Don’t even get me started on their butter cake!!! Melts in your mouth so good.

Split the meatball and four cheese gnocchi appetizers for dinner. Followed that up with the lemon pound cake. Everything was fantastic and the gnocchi is superb. With great service and a welcoming atmosphere you can't go wrong.

The saddest part about coming to this restaurant is that we waited so long to come. All those opportunities to have their meatballs, gone forever. All joking aside, this place was fantastic. Our waitress, Angela, was just wonderful. Everything we ordered (pepperoni garlic bread, lasagna, meatball salad) was delicious. If I could give 10 stars I would.
