The Reef Food & Steak is easily one of the best hidden gems on the East Coast. From the outside, sitting in a modest shopping plaza, you might think it’s just another neighborhood bar but step inside and it’s a completely different experience.

We attended a family event at the Reef. As vegans, we were concerned that our dietary needs could not be accommodated at a steak and seafood place, but we were guests at the event with no hand in choosing the venue. My husband called ahead and was told they would try to accommodate us and to let the server know. Place is way bigger than I imagined from the front. They have a stage for live music, there was none while we were there. I ordered snow crab legs they were good, but a bit over cooked. The old bay fries that come with them were just okay. Overall, food was good!
