Drop coffee and espresso both consistently good. Great customer service and good food. “I just recently ate there for the first time. It is a simple menu. They use a lot of Tempeh for the vegetarian choices. But it was very good and fairly priced.

Vegetarian options: It is not a large menu. But the vegetarian choices were nice and the one I had I highly enjoyed.“

“Stopped here on recommendation from someone local. We were greeted immediately by GABRIEL. He was patient with us since we were first timers. I am not a Cuban food expert so I asked a few questions he answered politely without making me feel dumb.

We ordered the papa rellena (potato ball stuffed with ground beef) and a ropa veja empanada. (Crispy pastry stuffed with seasoned shredded beef) as appetizers. Both were delicious delicious.

For mains he got the Ybor Cuban sandwich which was Ham, Roasted Pork, Salami, Swiss Cheese, Mustard, Pickles, Ybor Cuban Bread. He got it minus the mustard. I of course had to sample it as well and it was very nice soft bread, juicy meat and the flavor all together was amazing!

I ordered the Lechon bowl. It came with Lechon (roasted pork), yellow rice black beans and sweet plantains with an egg on top (for $1 extra). Gabriel also asked if we wanted sauces, he named them off I asked to sample them all. One was the mojo sauce I know it was a citrus and very garlic forward sauce. I would have liked less garlic and more citrus. One was an almost sour cream(possibly) cilantro green sauce and one was a pink sauce don’t know what was in it but it was good!

When we come up from Jacksonville again we will definitely visit again! Possibly try other things as well!

Kid-friendliness: They have kids menu options and it would be a place kids would be welcome.“

“My family loves this pizzeria. Why? Because while we wait, my little plays with the plastic veggies and kitchen materials- very entertaining for her. Then, once we sit down, my little can color on their cute coloring pages with their own basket of crayons or play with pizza dough. Besides the built in kid entertainment, staff is super kind and helpful and they take care of my food allergy (dairy & soy). Their willingness to ensure I'm enjoying my meal while being food safe is so heart warming to me. Drinks are phenomenal! The mocktails do not disappoint! They get packed on weekends but the wait hasn't been ridiculous.

Vegetarian options: You can absolutely find hearty veggie dishes here. Vegan- I'm not sure.

Dietary restrictions: Although I couldn't find an allergen menu, different servers, on different nights, have read labels for me, asked chefs and recommended alternatives for my dairy/soy allergy.

Kid-friendliness: Absolutely! They give kids pizza dough to play with at the table. There's a kids' kitchen (tiny segment) area for them to play with toys. They have coloring sheets and a basket of crayons. Decor and music is family friendly.“

“The Mint was delightful... The three restaurant people that were there today were each so nice. I particularly go for Indian food on Sundays, and they even had a little conversation with me. I'm so glad that this restaurant is here in Gainesville!!! The prices at the Mint are very reasonable, whereas most prices everywhere have shot up sky high. I ordered the dosa masala, and the sambar soup and the coconut chutney were delicious. The sambar even had a hint of cinnamon, just a hint, and it could not have been better. I ordered the garlic naan and the bread is not a large size portion but it is plenty when you are paying $2 and change. I think that the restaurant works largely by the several delivery services. There are 3 big long tables there for families and single tables also. The dining area is not very big at all but it is sufficient for good food and good people serving you. Amy.“

“There’s so much to like about this place. You come in through a garden type atmosphere with an enclosed bar, plenty of seating and sometimes outdoor entertainment. The water tower in the back is the cherry on top. It’s not like your traditional sit down restaurant as you come in, order and take your number and find your seat in a variety of places. There is a pool and arcade room to your left, traditional horseshoe bar to the right then as you go further more seating with a lounge type seating area. Behind that are two private rooms with pool tables and seating. The food is reasonably priced and yummy. The staff is great and suitable for families as well as a nightlife spot for singes. Definitely worth trying out for yourself!“

“David's BBQ is an awesome locally owned BBQ joint in Gainesville! The meats are good, but the sides are even better. The service is wonderful and they make you feel at home. “My gf and I finally stopped in yesterday to try Ballyhoo Grill. She's not much on seafood but her coworkers wanted to go. We didn't know they had happy hour so we instantly ordered 2 rounds of Bloody Mary's. $12 for a Bloody Mary on happy hour is not much of a deal if you ask me, but we didn't find that out until we received the check. First bloody came out very thin looking and was very watered down, second came out a little darker but still very watered down. The other cocktails we ordered were very much on the weak side as well. Drinks are not their strong point at all. We did get some appetizers and they were decent. In all my years ordering gator, I've never had it served with a BBQ sauce. The gator was good but a spicy ranch or even just cocktail sauce would have been better. I ordered a full rack of ribs and let me tell you, they were great!!! Fall off the bone and very flavorful. Their garlic mashed potatoes tasted perfect as well. My gf ordered a Greek salad and it's a pretty nice portion and presented very well. They decor is cool to check out, the service is great, the food is really good but the drinks need help. We definitely will be back, especially for those ribs!!!“
