They covered the pool. Foolish move. Interesting little place.
Traumhaftes kleines Hotel liebevoll eingerichtet
Nice place to stay. Don't eat at the restaurant at the inn the worst food and service. Very pricey.
My husband and I stayed here when he proposed (May 2015). The inn was perfect! We had a lovely private balcony over looking the water, and the restaurant downstairs was wonderful! The bed was super comfy, everything was clean, and the staff is the sweetest! Thank you for making our trip so wonderful! Praying for y'all to reopen soon!
Great place and oyster bar. I don't know what it is like after the hurricane.
Just a lovely place to stay when visiting the area.
I have been here before and I was very disappointed to see that they are closed due to hurricane damage. Hopefully they will be back open soon. I wish the owners good luck!
Lovely place with a gorgeous view to wake up to and it's worth the price. The only downside with the room had leaky faucet and my showerhead was broken. Also the wait at Carolines was awful we waited over an hour for our breakfast and they ran out of menu items both days we went to eat. Other than that it was a perfect stay.
Very simple and antiquated. Rooms on second floor recommended for the view and breeze. AC kept room at 70 easily. Its "run down" for some, but for us it has character. Angel was awesome and went out of her way to help us. We will return.
Loved this place. It was really relaxing sitting on the deck right next to our room. No internet though. We didn't find any e even in the public places. Oyster Bar next door was amazing!

First trip to Apalachicola. Chose the River Inn for old world rustic charm and a view of the river.
Loved staying here. Its a good old fashioned old Florida style hotel. Everything you needed for a weekend in Apalachicola. Good service, Angel is a wonderful person. Great parking if you have a small trailer. Right next to one of the best oyster places anywhere. I enjoyed my stay and plan to come back.
Aside from an amazing location right on the river, this Inn is in every single worst state of repair! We were amazed that the building is still standing. The facility is absolutely filthy outside, the rooms are very mediocre inside, with very worn carpeting and bedding (blood stains on the mattress cover - ugh); very dirty furniture, and just ridiculous for an accommodation that calls itself upscale. The "free" breakfast is not free anymore - Caroline's give you a $10.00 c
The Apalachicola River Inn is not a chain hotel. It is old, classic Apalachicola. The floors are crooked, it could use an exterior paint and landscaping job. Other than that, I don't think I was at the same hotel as many of the previous reviewers. Once we found the registration office, we were treated professionally and with southern charm. The room was clean and I neither smelled or saw mold in my room. The A/C unit cooled our room off nicely. The beds were clean and
The place is not the Park Hyatt, but you shouldn't expect it to be. The rooms are clean and quaint and look newly renovated. The tooms have a Bahamas feel. You are literly on the water out your door. Food is good, staff is friendly and plenty to do within walking distance. Don't let your first look at the building guide you or you will miss out on a great affordable place. Checked in for one night and within minutes booked another night.
